Several leaks and rumors have surrounded the content of this newly popular hero shooter game. This expansion promises several additions to the 33 original characters with new modes, battle pass add-ons, and maps. Eternal Night Falls added to the brawl on January 10th and shows New York in darkness, where the timelines are crossing with Doctor Strange trapped in the Entangled Astral Plane.
As Eternal Night has fallen over New York, it seems that Dracula and Doctor Doom are using the Darkhold’s powers to change the moon’s orbit, blocking the sun and leaving the city in darkness. Dracula’s vampiric creatures swarm the city, and thankfully, the Fantastic Four join the other Marvel Rival heroes.

Eternal Night Falls has been a massive success. It was launched on December 6 and reached over 10 million players in its first three days, growing to over 20 million players in the ensuing two weeks. It is playable on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S. Its success has placed it in the top five streaming games ahead of Helldivers 2, Grand Theft Auto 5, and Destiny 2.
Marvel Rivals keeps things fresh with a quick update, adding so many new things just after its launch. In Eternal Night Falls, gamers will be able to enjoy playing the characters of the Fantastic Four. It appears this means that the Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic and, later on, the Human Torch and The Thing will also be coming. With these characters, there are also three new maps to battle it out in. They will feature locations like Empire of Eternal Night in the Big Apple New York, Sanctum Sanctorum Midtown, and the last is Central Park.
The Fantastic 4 Joins the Battle
Let’s look at each new character, starting with the Invisible Woman of the Fantastic Four. She is Susan Storm, who came in contact with cosmic rays that changed her on a cellular level. These changes enabled her to generate force fields and become temporarily invisible. She will participate as the Strategist for her team and play an essential part in success.
The new Duelist to the group is Mister Fantastic. Many know Mister Fantastic as Reed Richards, who is one of the most brilliant minds in the universe. The cosmic rays changed him, allowing him to stretch his body further than normal physical restrictions. He will definitely be a key part of the story as the leader of the Fantastic Four in bringing light to the darkness.
The last two members of the Fantastic Four are Johnny Storm, better known as the Human Torch. He will be the Duelist, using his powers to generate scorching flames to bring down Dracula’s followers. The last is Ben Grimm, who is also The Thing. Originally, he was Reed Richards’s pilot and best friend, but now he has become a Vanguard in the game who can clobber almost anyone. Ben is as tough as rock and hits just as hard as one. There hardly isn’t anything that can put a dent in his rocky exterior.
Doom Match
Fighting epic battles with a new enemy isn’t all we are getting as a mode that is also coming in Season 1, which will be called Doom Match. This will be a battle of eight to 12 players who will fight it out. Each is part of one of two factions against each other. Their goal will be a team knockout to discover which side takes out more than the other. The team with the most KO’s wins. Along with this mode, there are also more rewards. These rewards are called Midnight Features, which will grant players better rewards for achievements.
Marvel Rivals has also partnered with Twitch and is offering gamers Twitch Drops. This will definitely increase awareness of Marvel Rivals and provide greater bragging rights to the best plays. It will also give more people the opportunity to see some of the new skins coming in the battle pass.
Battle Pass
The updated battle pass gives the Super Heros new super looks. They come with cosmetics and include All-Butcher Loki, Blood Moon Knight, Bounty Hunter Rocket Racoon, Blue Tarantula Penny Parker, King Magnus Magneto, Savage Sub-Mariner Namor, Eternal Night Falls Gallery Card, Blood Edge Armor Iron Man, Blood Soul Adam Warlock, Emporium Matron Scarlet Witch, and Blood Berserker Wolverine.
Not only will characters have new looks, but gamers will also get more with the updates. The update also comes with enhancements to the Vanguard characters. Vanguards are the ones who primarily use their ability to aid, heal, and boost their team members. This team-based game is changing the Marvel Universe, where fans can take the place of their favorite heroes. Eternal Night Falls looks to be challenging and opportunistic for any gamer.
