Marvel Rivals is the multiplayer game sweeping the nation. While the Marvel Cinematic Universe has struggled to get its next phase off the ground, people have flocked to the game featuring their favorite heroes. There’s no hint of superhero fatigue when it comes to this game. Since its release two months ago, fans have been trying to predict which characters will be the next ones on the roster. A fan-favorite character was teased in a recent trailer revealing a new map.
Marvel Rivals Teases Blade In New Trailer
Blade has been rumored to be one of the next heroes for a while. Dataminers have leaked information that seems to point toward the Daywalker appearing in Marvel Rivals at some point. Leakers have been able to predict abilities, saying he will be able to see enemies through walls and track enemies at all times. However, we haven’t gotten anything official from NetEast, the developer of the game. In a new trailer showcasing the new Central Park map, fans got their first look at Blade.
Most of the trailer hints at the legendary hero. Dracula’s castle is seen right away under a blood moon. The vampire is seen capturing the god Ratatoskr on the map. Near the end of the trailer, a Dracula board game is seen on a table. After the Marvel Rivals logo, fans got their first look. It is a quick look but one that made fans very happy. There wasn’t a release date given, but the studio has said they plan on releasing a new hero every six weeks. The Human Torch is the next one in line to be playable, but this schedule likely means Blade is not far away.
When Does The Map Release?
The good news for Marvel Rivals fans is they won’t have to wait long to try out the new map. The Central Park map releases on February 21, giving players a new location to battle at. NetEase released the first gameplay videos of the Human Torch, furthering the excitement for future releases. With the release of Johnny Storm, the entire Fantastic Four will be playable, leading people to speculate on new characters.
The list of characters that fans want is long. NetEase actually polled fans on which characters they wanted to see in Marvel Rivals. Blade could be getting one of his fellow Marvel Knights soon in Ghost Rider. He was one of the most requested characters in the recent poll. X-Men characters were the other popular choice, with Nightcrawler and Gambit leading the way. The studio seems committed to building the game despite news of recent lay-offs.
Final Thoughts
