Marvel Rivals Showcases New ‘Twilight Duo’ Skin for Cloak and Dagger

Marvel Rivals teases new Cloak and Dagger skin

Marvel Rivals has become the latest obsession for many gamers. Players have loved getting to play as their favorite heroes, battling opposing teams in fast-paced combat. Comic book characters are known for having different looks. Depending on the timeline, certain characters may wear slightly different costumes. Developer NetEase knows that fans love to customize their characters. They showcased a new skin for Cloak and Dagger, releasing on March 6.

NetEase teased gameplay of the characters in their new costumes on social media. Both characters are in fancy suits. Dagger sports a white hat and matching suit with a low-cut black top underneath. Cloak dons a purple and black suit that fans out to emulate his famous cape. In the official announcement of the “Twilight Duo” skin, the developer had this to say about it.

“Justice thrives in contrast – where Cloak & Dagger’s Twilight Duo costume embodies the harmony between darkness and illumination. In the neon-lit streets of Sicily, the lines between heroism and secrecy blur, weaving a tale of honor, mystery, and an unbreakable bond.”

The skin will be available for purchase in the shop beginning on Thursday, March 6, at 6 p.m. PST. Shortly after this release, a new game mode will also be released. The Clone Rumble game mode was teased earlier this week and will launch on March 7, giving players more to do.

Fun Character To Play

Cloak and Dagger is one of the most unique characters in Marvel Rivals. While they are one character on the selection screen, players essentially get two characters to play at once. Each of them has a unique skillset that allows players to adapt to whatever the needs of the team are at any given moment. Dagger can throw light daggers and heal the team, while Cloak can create many damage-over-time effects to siphon life from the enemy team.

NetEase has done a great job at making each character feel unique and true to who they are in the source material. Cloak and Dagger are interesting because they are one of the few Marvel characters who have not been on the big screen. The now defunct ABC Family had two seasons of a show, but it didn’t gain much traction. It’s great to see the developers put characters that not everyone knows into the game.

Final Thoughts

NetEase wants to make sure new content is coming often in Marvel Rivals. Season 2 has already been announced, though few details have been given. They have promised new characters often, and rumors have been swirling based on data miners and leakers. The future is bright for the game, and releases like this are ones that keep fans engaged and let them personalize characters.
