Gameplay Analysis
Build A Rocket Boy came prepared with MindsEye’s gameplay trailer. It showcased Jason driving through Redrock, shooting guns, and using advanced tech drones. Judging by the communicator conversations, Jason is assumed to be a special dispatcher. During combat, he wears a Silva vest to protect his body. He put his military training to use to fight against criminal and malfunctioning Silva bots. He’s very adaptable to taking cover in any environment, like using the back of a pick-up truck for cover.
The car driving is very reminiscent of Sleeping Dogs and GTA. According to MindsEye’s official web page, Jason will be involved with high-speed chases and travel around various areas of Redrock. There could be a driving mastery class in-game to help players improve. The drifting mechanic is also perfect for the PS5’s motion controls. For the drones, viewers saw Jason using one in the story trailer. So far, they are used to detect incoming enemies and surveillance. There could be more functions to learn once the full game is released.
MindsEye’s First Impressions
MindEye promises players for high-octane action, and both trailers justify its capabilities. All of the cinematics and gameplay footage is captured on PS5 Pro. There’s even a smooth cutscene transition in the game when Jason encounters criminals in a parking lot. The models, acting, and environments are outstanding as well. MindsEye could be the game for GTA fans who are waiting on the 6th game. Build A Rocket Boy planned the game to be available in Summer 2025.
