On February 22, members of the Monster Hunter community joined to hand out awards to those who have made waves in the fanbase. Hosted on content creator Rurikhan’s YouTube channel, the first-ever Hunters Awards was over an hour of celebrating some of the most entertaining, creative, and informative hunters in existence. From speedrunners to cosplay masters, each nominee earned their nomination in this entirely community-built awards show. Here is the full list of winners and nominees.
All Hunters Awards Winners & Nominees
During this first-ever awards ceremony, there were 11 awards up for grabs. For each category, creators Purrodie, JalBagel, and Kinokashi acted as judges to decide which hunter would come out on top. Each nominee was judged on three principles: Community, Consistency, Creativity, and Impact. The Hunters Awards also had six announcers, all beloved in the Monster Hunter community. Purrodie, Peppo, DjJonny, MarcoMeatball, Gaijin Hunter, and Nyx all came out to support the community they know and love and celebrated the series that has given them so much.

More Monster Hunter Awards to Come
As a whole, the Hunters Awards was a great success, as it was an amazing way to celebrate the community this series has cultivated. Rurikhan, JalBagel, and Zensei101 were incredible hosts, and everyone involved with the production did a phenomenal job. While only 11 nominees were able to walk away with awards and bragging rights, every nominee deserved their slot. They’ve each done wonderful things for the Monster Hunter community, and their own communities have done amazing things for them. Events like this one just show how dearly this series is loved by so many people.
As Monster Hunter Wilds quickly approaches, there will be chances for up-and-coming content creators to show off what they can do. Whether they take down Arkveld on world-record timing or create amazing cosplays of the most intricate armor, 2025 will open the door for many hunters. This is especially true when you consider just how many new hunters that Wilds is set to bring into the series. Hopefully, they will love it as much as the veterans do. Maybe we’ll even see some of them at the next Hunters Awards Show. If all goes well, the event will continue for many years to come.
