Weekly Free Games on the Epic Games Store January 29 – February 5, 2026
It’s time to pick up the latest free game from the Epic Games Store! This week, we have one for PC and one for Mobile to give you something to do at home and when you’re standing in lines. Who doesn’t need a little something to escape from reality? Let’s jump into this week’s freebies!
Definitely Not Fried Chicken

For PC, we have Definitely Not Fried Chicken, which is definitely not for kids. It’s a single-player strategy sim that puts you in place managing businesses that have something legit in the front and something more, shall we say, spicy in the back.
You’ll have to build your businesses, satisfy customers, hire (and keep) employees, and work your way up to being a business tycoon. There’s even the opportunity to have an airplane to move your “product.” From the images and video, the graphics won’t blow you away, but they do kind of remind me of the original Sims game, somewhat. The characters are even blockier. Maybe there’s a nostalgia factor there. If the music in the trailer is any indication, the soundtrack is very different from The Sims, though.
This one is rated Mature 17+ on the Epic Games Store, and from the subject matter, that seems a valid rating. The reasons listed for the rating are blood, use of drugs, and violence.
Faily Brakes 2

On mobile (iOS only in the EU), we have Faily Brakes 2. It’s a physics-based driving game (a crashing game). You can choose your vehicle, and you’ll be able to unlock more and customize it. You can also dress up your character in various costumes. The game’s premise is that you’re driving a car without brakes. There are many obstacles in your way that you have to avoid, including traffic.
If you’ve ever wanted to drive around creating chaos without consequences, here’s your chance. The description says, “Experience realistic physics-based crashes with stunning visual effects and detailed vehicle damage.” I can’t confirm how stunning the effects are, but the screenshots show some ragdoll effects. Faily Brakes 2 looks like a good distraction for times when you need to stay busy while you wait.
Android users in the U.S. can claim it from the Mobile Epic Games Store. If you’re in the EU, you can also get it on iOS.
How to Claim Freebies From the Epic Games Store
Whether you want to play on your PC, Mac, Android, or iOS device, you can find the download information on the Epic Games Store website. If you’re on a computer, you can download the Epic Games Launcher to access and play your games. I know that’s not exactly shocking, and you probably figured that out already.
For the mobile games, you’ll need the QR code. Use the camera on your mobile device to scan the QR code, which will direct you to the download page. You will have to enable downloads from other sources. (Other than the native app store, that is.) This app isn’t available on the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. After installing the app, launch it, sign in, and then scroll down to find the current free game.
And that’s what we have for you this week! Check back next week, and we’ll highlight the new game offerings from the Epic Games Store. We’re staying on top of the latest gaming news, so you don’t have to worry about any FOMO.
Happy gaming!
