Holiday Free Games on the Epic Games Store December 18 2025 – One Day Only!
Hey! The Epic Games Store free game is only valid for one day? What gives? Well, long-time fans will know that they sometimes have free DAILY games for certain events. And it’s that funny time of year where we’re all giving each other stuff so why not now? Plus, there are other giveaways if you haven’t collected them yet. But don’t wait! This won’t be forever.

Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel – Free Until 12/19/2025 10 AM
The current freebie is an action RPG for PC. The description on the Epic Games Store says, “Hordes of Hel is a gripping roguelike horde-survivor game set in the dark realms of Norse Mythology. Fight waves of enemies to earn divine blessings of ancient Norse Gods, explore hostile worlds and face powerful bosses. Become a god-like warrior in this ultimate showdown.”
You can play as one of several characters with different abilities, skills, and weapons. Your abilities will improve through a progression system with perks, skills, and upgrades. You’ll get new weapons and abilities as you go as well. And there’s a system of gods providing god skills! In the store page video, a new class of Archmage was announced. It looks very exciting to play.

Free Mobile Game – Shotgun King: The Final Checkmate
We gave an unusual twist of a game here. They describe it as chess with a shotgun. It’s a roguelike strategy game based on chess. You have only the king on the black side of the board. On each turn, you can move or shoot at enemy pieces. But you have to move to reload. It sounds interesting and, if you love strategy, this could be for you. Check it out in the Epic Games Store mobile app.
How to Claim Freebies From the Epic Games Store
Whether you want to play on your PC, Mac, Android, or iOS device, you can find the download information on the Epic Games Store website. If you’re on a computer, you can download the Epic Games Launcher to access and play your games. I know that’s not exactly shocking, and you probably figured that out already.
For the mobile games, you’ll need the QR code. Use the camera on your mobile device to scan the QR code, which will direct you to the download page. You will have to enable downloads from other sources. (Other than the native app store, that is.) This app isn’t available on the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. After installing the app, launch it, sign in, and then scroll down to find the current free game.
