MrBeast Strikes Out Once Again – New $50,000 Minecraft Competition Crashes and Burns Amid Controversy

MrBeast recently hosted a Minecraft competition that pitted 500 girls against 500 boys for a cash prize of $50,000. Sounds like a lot of fun and well worth the time, given the prize amount. Also, it’s not your usual MrBeast game without a bit of cheating, sabotage, false applications, and bans; however, this time, it seems like things went a bit too far. Here’s all that was reported to have happened during the competition and what people had to say about it.

List of Allegations

According to a person who participated in the event, several allegations of cheating, sabotage, false applications, and bans were made, especially towards the girls’ side. This participant posted on X a list of allegations, including that Russian men used AI images and deepfakes to infiltrate the girls’ team and start mass murdering every girl they could see, even placing signs around their side of the map adorned in swastikas and sexist messages.

The participant, who goes by the username @ZavvyGamer, goes on to explain that there wasn’t a way for the participants to report any of the allegations on Discord until other participants mass-pinged staff to look into things.

Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse when mistrust started to form within the girls’ team, with that mistrust being directed at trans women or participants suspected of being transgender. According to Twitch streamer Phoefi, there was apparently “a huge fight on the girls’ side about transphobia.” All in all, it looks like the girls’ side never stood a chance, and unfortunately, it had nothing to do with skill.

Does MrBeast Show Favoritism and Manipulate the Situation?

An important allegation to note is that MrBeast faced allegations of favoritism and manipulation of the situation, especially when the video of the competition was released. Phoefi also claimed that MrBeast showed favoritism towards the boys’ side and that much of what the girls’ side experienced was scrapped from the final cut of the almost 1-hour video on MrBeast’s official YouTube channel.

Much of what was alleged has not yet been confirmed; however, many participants have spoken out and are alleging very similar things. Hopefully, an investigation into the allegations can clear things up and provide some more insight into what went down during this competition.
