Stellar Blade Social Team Accidentally Reposts NSFW Fan Art

Well, there was a big oops in the Stellar Blade community this week—honestly, can’t believe it took this long, but let’s not get into that—where the SHIFT UP social media team on X, formerly Twitter, reposted an NSFW shot of Eve from the game, probably by accident. Accidentally, because they’ve been reposting cosplays, fan art, and screenshots from the post-apocalyptic action game, and probably weren’t paying attention. Big no-no.

The image that was reposted is a fan art from the user named ‘NaughtyCafe,’ who had done their due diligence in marking their bio as an NSFW artist. The image that was reposted was one of Eve, the game’s protagonist, in her ‘skin suit’ outfit, but it was a bit more risqué than SHIFT UP wanted it to be.

What Happened with the Post

Now, depending on your X safety settings, you’ll probably be met with a blocker that stops you from seeing NSFW content—including the Stellar Blade image in question—and you’ll need to click a prompt that removes the cover from the picture. If you don’t have the necessary settings in place, you’ll get to see the full image that NaughtyCafe created.

Here’s the link to the main page for Stellar Blade: Stellar Blade X profile, but if you want to search out the NSFW image post itself, you’re going to have to do that yourself.

But if you’re questioning how exactly this happened, you’re probably not alone, so let’s just make a couple of guesses.

The social team that runs the X channel—which has 147,000 followers—reposts dozens of shots of Eve every day. Read it: dozens. Every day. These are the best Stellar Blade cosplays, artistic representations, and photo mode shots from the game, and they are all shared by whoever’s running the page.

Likely Causes and Community Reaction

There’s a good chance that someone didn’t fully realize they were on the main account when they saw the image, or they didn’t hit the fullscreen option for the image, thus not getting a good look at what was being represented. As we know, the preview window shields most of the graphic portions of a picture, and only by opening the full image will it reveal everything.

You can imagine the comment section of this post—full chaos engaged! One user wrote, “I’m crying, the official account retweeted this without opening the full image,” while others congratulated them on being “badass” enough to post the image itself.

And some positive light: Stellar Blade is still coming to PC next week, so is this some publicity leading up to it? We’ll let you decide whether or not it’s good or bad publicity.
