TheBurntPeanut Kills VTuber’s Threepeat
TheBurntPeanut, a faceless Twitch streamer, won Best VTuber at the annual Streamer Awards. TheBurntPeanut’s win decimated popular VTuber Ironmouse’s three-year streak as the winner of Best VTuber. He also won best FPS Streamer, as his main games are Escape from Tarkov and ARC Raiders.
The other nominees for Best VTuber at the Streamer Awards were Ironmouse, Kenji, Chibidoki, Kenji and Mori Calliope. Ironmouse won Best Vtuber for three consecutive years.
TheBurntPeanut Accepts Award
TheBurntPeanut said in his acceptance speech, “I am honored to accept this Best VTuber of the Year award. It is a great honor to accept this Best VTuber of the Year award, big shout-out to QTCinderella for putting on this immaculate award ceremony as well as a shout-out to the Peanut team, making sure the streams are always the best they can be. Obviously, the largest shout-out to the Bungulators, you guys are the best, thank you for all the support, gentlemen.”
Bungulators are a faction in ARC Raiders created by TheBurntPeanut. They are characterized by wearing a red skin on player characters.
TheBurntPeanut created his Twitch account in November 2019 but rose to popularity in 2024. The peanut-shaped VTuber changes his look by wearing a blend of skins and costumes. His high-energy commentary and apparent hilarious gameplay made him a rising star on Twitch. He also has a 24-hour channel where he replays his stream VODs and his YouTube videos. He also has a channel on Kick, an alternative live streaming platform.
VTubers Crash Out Towards an Animated Peanut
TheBurntPeanut’s win created a rift in the VTubing community. Vtuber fans claim that TheBurntPeanut isn’t an actual VTuber. Fans also claim that the peanut-shaped streamer has lambasted other VTubers.
On X (formerly Twitter) Kitsunero quoted The Streamer Awards’s post announcing the anthropomorphic peanut’s win over Ironmouse. Kitsunero said, “Non Vtuber won the Best Vtuber Award.”
Whooith, another VTuber, said, “someone who hates being called a vtuber, is not a vtuber, won vtuber of the year after wanting people to vote for him to get it to piss off vtubers can’t make this [expletive] up.” Ironmouse came to TheBurntPeanut’s defense, calling people “cringe” for “blindly hating” the talking peanut.
