So, here’s the deal. On July 4, 2025, the FitGirl Repacks website displayed the iconic image from the end of Looney Tunes cartoons, which says, “That’s All, Folks!” The image is commonly used when a content creator has stopped producing whatever content they are known for. In this case, pirated video games. It didn’t take long for folks to post about it on Reddit. Some folks guessed it had to do with uncrackable games. Then there was a lot of conversation about the drama between FitGirl and someone called Empress, who, apparently, cracks the game files.

In any case, refreshing the FitGirl Repacks website quickly revealed that the piracy continues. It was a bit of a joke. Earlier, she had stated that if she finished repacking her list of titles, the world would end. When the list was complete, she displayed the Looney Tunes image. It was removed soon after and replaced with more content.

What On Earth are Repacking and Cracking?

Great question! I knew you’d ask. Repacking is,  in the simplest terms, compressing a video game to a significantly smaller size so it can be more easily downloaded and shared. It may involve removing some files and features that aren’t necessary, as well as using various compression methods.

All modern video games include some kind of Digital Rights Management (DRM) as well. Cracking is the term for bypassing those protections so that a game can be shared without purchasing it and having a legitimate registration key.

Who is FitGirl Repacks?

According to TorrentFreak, FitGirl Repacks is currently number 6 on the list of the Top 10 Torrent Sites of 2025. In 2020, they contacted her to learn more about the person behind the piracy. She began repacking games as early as 2012 for herself. She found repacks on pirate sites that were smaller than what she had made so far. That led to experimentation and improvement in the process she used.

In 2016, she uploaded her first public repack, Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions. She doesn’t crack the games herself, instead compressing games that were cracked by other pirates. Of the human behind the name, in a 2016 article on Kotaku, it was revealed that she is indeed female, was born in Russia, and was between 20 to 30 years old at the time.
