When Is Next Awesome Minecraft Update in 2024?

The next Minecraft update is right around the corner. Mojang and Microsoft have been steadily releasing updates to their game for a very long time. It has received 20 major updates since it was initially released in 2011. It is a game with one of the most devoted development teams behind it, and they’re not letting it die any time soon.

The 1.20 update was a huge success, adding new wolf breeds, the cherry blossom, and archaeology. It added plenty to do and to explore! The Minecraft 1.21 update figures to follow in its footsteps and add plenty of exceptional items to one of the most popular games of all time. Here’s when it’s set to arrive and what Mojang is about to introduce.

The next Minecraft update does not have a specific release date yet. This is typical for the game, as they always start with a wide range of dates for the next release. It will usually start as a year, in this case, 2024. Then they whittle it down to a range within that year. That has already happened, as it is slated for mid-2024. Finally, they will announce an official date, but that hasn’t been revealed just yet.

For now, all we know is that it’s coming in the middle of 2024, which could be as soon as next month. It is speculated that June 2024 will see a new crafting update, but if not, then July or August could hold it. Those are the months in that middle region. Mojang will eventually reveal the official Minecraft Update date when it gets closer to time, which does make a June release date a little less likely.

What Will the Minecraft 1.21 Update Hold?

Not everything has been revealed yet for the new update. And even on the day of the release, not everything will have been shown. There are always little additions that went overlooked. With that said, there are usually plenty of reveals beforehand, and a few have already been confirmed. There will be two new hostile mobs and a new structure in 1.21.

Minecraft is adding the Breeze. This is a new hostile mob that is effectively the cold version of Blaze. This is a blue and purple mob that is surrounded by wind and jumps around, and it shoots out a projectile of wind energy that explodes when contacting a player or other entity. It deals with knockback as well. It will only be found in the new structure.

The next Minecraft Update from Microsoft will also add the Bogged Skeleton. Much like the Stray, this is a variant of the original and pesky Skeleton mob. It is strictly hostile, and it will shoot poisoned arrows at players. Much like the Breeze, these will be found in the new structure. It will, however, also be located in swamps and Mangrove swamps.

Speaking of the new structure, it will be called the Trial Chamber. Like the name suggests, it will be an enclosed structure with a new Trial Spawner item. These will spawn the new mobs and allow you to fight them and earn the loot they drop. It functions like an expanded mob spawner dungeon. It will be made out of copper blocks and tuff. Stay tuned for more on the update, which has been officially dubbed the Tricky Trials update!
