The March 27th Nintendo Direct confused many as the Switch 2 Direct is just around the corner. Around the world, the weather has started to change with the seasons, which means gamers will have plenty of reasons to stay inside (especially the cool introverts). Nintendo recently held its Direct presentation, and let’s say they did not disappoint at all. With brand new games on the way, including interesting remasters, one thing is for certain: there is a game in the mix for everyone.
Nintendo Direct Announcements
The Nintendo Direct stated with the introduction featuring Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake will be released sometime this year. Two old-school games being revived with fresh modern-era air will be an experience not to miss. Was that a new character introduced? Soon we will all find out if we have a new addition to the hero team, or the villains.
No Sleep For Kaname Date (release date: July 25th, 2025) is a captivating story adventure where seeking the answers about Iris’s whereabouts through investigative measures is your mission. You as the protagonist, Kaname a special agent seeking to find Iris, will endure puzzles, interviews, and more- you have a lot on your plate. Will you save Iris?
Raidou Remastered (release date: June 19th, 2025) is an action-packed RPG fighting demons with demons to be victorious. Investigate the strange incidents and conspiracies within the capital that you will uncover and reveal answers that the capital needs to know.
In Shadow Labyrinth (release date: July 18th, 2025), you (Swordsman No. 8) are summoned to an unfamiliar world, and you must fight for survival. With clever abilities that you can enhance in due time and an unusual assistant (Puck), this journey will keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end.
More Exciting Titles
Patapon 1 + 2 Remasters (Replay) (release date: July 11th, 2025) are coming to Nintendo Switch as a bundle. Test your rhythmic skills by playing your drum to advance through every battle (including increasing your battalion). Challenge yourself using the new feature changing your level from easy, normal, or hard.
Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar (August 27th, 2025) is a beautiful adventurous farming and live sim. As Felix, it is your job to help the town through the farming and selling of your crops. No worries; there are other quests, including getting to know the locals and even finding the love of your life.
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (release date soon 2025) On planet Viewros (a planet you were randomly transported to, you must find stone figures and relics to put pieces together and create your path to escape. In Metroid fashion, you, as Samus, will embark on a journey to determine your fate.
More Releases Incoming
Disney Villains Cursed Cafe (released today) is a wicked tale of being Ursula the new potionista. As you create new potions for the villains, every potion you create will have a different effect on each villain throughout the game. How will you choose their destiny based on your creative potion concoctions?
Witchbrook (release winter 2025) you are going to college to master your art including being a spellcaster, participating in rituals, and more. In between classes you will be able to hang out with friends and work (to pay for tuition of course.)
The Eternal Life of Goldman (release Winter 2025) is a hand-drawn platform where you go through the one-of-a-kind world. Your mission is to eliminate the mysterious deity while searching for the secrets of the archipelago.
Gradius Origins (August 7th, 2025), a classic that has been around for 40 years, comes with a collection of arcade-style games throughout the entire series. With many levels (and even different titles), shooting through your foes in a space-like environment will not be an easy task at all.
Rift of the NecroDancer (Today) is an amazing rhythm style type game mixed with monsters you will defeat in style. The bosses will not be cakewalks at all. (DLCs for more songs are coming soon.)
Tamagotchi Plaza (Release) is the newest entry to the Tamagotchi series, where you will work in a variety of stores that seek your assistance. As you progress through the game, you will meet new Tamagotchis along the way. Upgrade stores and bring happiness to the town.
Pokemon Z-A Details Revealed
Pokemon Legends: Z-A (Late 2025), the newest addition to the Pokémon series, is a well-talked-about “next new game for Pokémon trainers.” Different from its predecessors, one new feature is the Z-A Royale. This is where trainers will meet at night to compete. The rank system starts from Z to A. Throughout many battles and bonding with your Pokémon, your goal is to become the best!
Rhythm Paradise Groove (release date 2026) is a cozy, lighthearted game. You will test your rhythm in a variety of ways and with different characters. Music created by celebrated Japanese musician Tsunkuo is bound to be an amazing musical treat. As it is slated to be released next year, keep an eye out for new information to come.
Virtual Game Cards (late April 2025) is a new feature rolling out for gamers with digital games. The new addition of this feature allows players to share games with family and friends or on their other consoles (including the upcoming Switch 2). Shared games will have a limit, though: 1 game per 14 days (2 weeks), and the games will be returned to the giver automatically.
