The posting calls for a 3D programming team lead who will lead “a team of skilled 3D programmers in the development of the next generation of Far Cry branded games.” In fact, if you look on Ubisoft’s LinkedIn, there are many job postings specifically for the Far Cry franchise that include animation, team leads, character design, and more.
These things confirm not only that Far Cry 7 is coming out but that Ubisoft may be taking the franchise in a new direction. It also confirms that the installment could be a long time away as they’re only in the hiring phase; they’re most likely not in the developing phase of Far Cry 7 yet.
