Tony Hawk Pro Skater is a game that holds a special place in many gamer’s hearts. Many people spent hours kickflipping their way around a cityscape and scoring massive points. For years, many have hoped for the classic games to be remastered. In the past decade, many games have been remastered, giving fans an updated feel for their favorite games. Many have tried to resurrect the game but to no avail. However, pro skater Tyshawn Jones claims the game is in development, and he is in it.
Tony Hawk Pro Skater Remaster Incoming?
It seems like everyone wants a game to happen. A Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 & 4 remake was scrapped last year so the studio could focus on more Call of Duty content. Tony Hawk himself has confirmed that he wants the series to continue in some form. It may be closer than we think. Pro skateboarder Tyshawn Jones made an appearance on The Breakfast Club and said he was one of the pros to be playable in the game.
“I’m in a Tony Hawk [game] coming out, so they got a new one they’re remastering…that’s about to come out. I was in the last one,” he said during the interview. This is huge news if it is true. While many players love new releases, gamers are starting to gravitate toward games of their childhood. It is one of the reasons PC gaming has become popular over the past few years. If this gets a release date, it will be one of the most highly anticipated remasters of the year.

We already got a remake of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 & 2 in 2020. It is widely considered one of the best games in the series. With all of the news coming out about the next generation of consoles, a remaster of any or all of the games in this series would be the perfect supplemental content to flagship games. Furthermore, a brand new game could be in the works at some point, seeing as Hawk said the series would continue in some way and not necessarily simply a remaster.
Nostalgia is a powerful tool. Many companies have been using it to drive sales. Whatever company picks up the game will be happy they did.
