Volnutt and Sera fought, but during the battle, Gatz died. Volnutt is left stranded on the planet with no means of getting home. The story of Legends 2 ends with Roll and the rest of the cast building a rocket to rescue Volnutt. Legends 3 could have connected these two plots to bring our hero back into the setting.
Two characters appeared in the official art for Mega Man Legends 3. These two characters are members of the rebellious “Bright Bats” team. These wild-hearted youngsters would factor into Legends 3’s plot. The first is a young, happy-go-lucky girl named Aero. The second is a teenage boy with red hair tied into a ponytail. His name was Barrett, and he would be a playable character. Overall, Aero and Barrett provide fun additions to Legends’ main cast. However, they sadly have gone unused due to Legends 3’s cancellation. Any future appearances for the two are unlikely due to their obscure nature.

Mega Man Legends 3’s cancellation is disappointing for many fans of the 3D Shooter franchise. The game’s limited appeal could be attributed to its discontinuation. The loss of Legends 3 made an uproar in the Mega Man fanbase. The disappointment was met not only by game developers but also by long-time fans.
