Best Robin Build – Honkai: Star Rail

Robin, Honkai: Star Rail

Robin is a 5-star character from miHoyo’s Honkai: Star Rail. She is a Physical Attribute that follows the Harmony Path. Robin is a well-known singer from the world of Penacony. With a beautiful voice, she comes with a kit that is made for buffing your team and even providing her own music while in battle. Here we will be looking at how we should build her to get the best out of her.

Robin’s Skills

Basic Attack Wingflip White Noise Deals Physical DMG equal to 100% of Robin’s ATK to a single enemy.
Skill Pinion’s Aria Increase DMG dealt by all allies by 50%, lasting for 3 turns. This Duration decreases by 1 at the start of Robin’s every turn.
Ultimate – Support – 160 Energy Cost Vox Harmonique, Opus Cosmique Robin enters the Concerto state and makes all other allies immediately take action.

When in the Concerto state, increase all allies’ ATK by 22.8% of Robin’s ATK plus 200. Moreover, after every attack by allies, Robin deals Additional Physical DMG equal to 120% of her ATK 1 time, with a fixed CRIT Rate for this damage set at 100% and fixed CRIT DMG set at 150%.

When in the Concerto state, Robin is immune to Crowd Control debuffs, and cannot enter her turn or take action until the Concerto state ends.

A Concerto countdown appears on the Action Order bar. When the countdown’s turn begins, Robin exits the Concerto state and immediately takes action. The countdown has its own fixed SPD of 90.

Talent – Support Tonal Resonance Increase all allies’ CRIT DMG by 20%. Moreover, after allies attack enemy targets, Robin additionally regenerates 2 Energy for herself.
Technique – Suport Overture of Inebriation After using Technique, create a dimension around the character that lasts for 15 seconds. Enemies within this dimension will not attack Robin and will follow Robin while the dimension is active. After entering battle while the dimension is active, Robin regenerates 5 Energy at the start of each wave. Only 1 dimension created by allies can exist at the same time.

Robin is meant to be a support with the buffs she can provide to allies DMG and CRIT DMG. As long as she has SPD, she can keep her buffs up, that being said you WANT her to have speed. Robin needs to be upfront and center, if her allies are outrunning her in the opening of the battle, she needs more speed.

Her ULT does have a high cost which can make her a bit on the expensive side to use but will greatly benefit your team once you get an idea of how to use her. You would want allies that can speed up or surpass enemies and make use of her Skill and Ultimate, while it is active. She isn’t skill point heavy thankfully but you will still want to make sure to save her one for when her time comes around so her buff can be reactivated.

Robin’s Eidolons

Robin’s Eidolons can go without being said, her E1 is wonderful, If you don’t have Ruan Mei, but you have Robin at E1 her Ultimate will do only 1% less than Ruan Mei’s at 25% for RES PEN. E2 will help allies move faster throughout the battle allowing for more attacks and more uses of her buffs before her turn comes back around. E4 will allow her to dispel CC debuffs in case you need it as a fallback for setting up as well as buffing Effect RES at the same time.

E1 Land of Smiles While the Concerto state is active, all allies’ All-Type RES PEN increases by 24%.
E2 Afternoon Tea For Two While the Concerto state is active, all allies’ SPD increases by 16%. The Talent’s Energy Regeneration effect additionally increases by 1.
E3 Inverted Tuning Skill Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15. Ultimate Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15.
E4 Raindrop Key When using the Ultimate, dispels Crowd Control debuffs from all allies. While Robin is in the Concerto state, increases the Effect RES of all allies by 50%.
E5 Lonestar’s Lament Basic ATK Lv. +1, up to a maximum of Lv. 10. Talent Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15.
E6 Moonless Midnight While the Concerto state is active, the CRIT DMG of the Additional Physical DMG caused by the Ultimate increases by 450%. The effect of Moonless Midnight can trigger up to 8 times. And the trigger count resets each time the Ultimate is used.

Best Lightcones

Flowing Nightglow – 5 Star (S1) This Lightcone is Robin’s Signature Lightcone. It is by far her best option providing Energy Regen for Robin as well as an ATK buff and a DMG buff for her allies every time she an allies attacks.
But the Battle Isn’t Over – 5 Star (S1) Next in line for 5-star LC is; But the Battle Isn’t Over. This will increase The wearer’s ER Rate by 10% and then when Robin uses her ULT she will regenerate 1 skill point and the next ally taking action will deal 30% more DMG for that turn.

While the DMG buff is one turn, the 10% ER Rate makes this a worthy contender just to help support Robin’s heavy ULT usage.

Poised to Bloom – 4 Star (S5) I wouldn’t recommend the one as heavy just because of the requirements that it needs. If two or more characters follow the same Path, then these characters’ CRIT DMG increases by 16(S1) – 32%(S5.)

While it isn’t a major deal breaker because it gives Robin an ATK buff, the extras are conditional.

Best Relics and Planetary Sets

Cutting straight to the meat, Musketeer of Wild Wheat and Prisoner in Deep Confinement will be her best choice. You want to get her attack up so she can spread that buff and get the BEST out of her from the start. Messenger Traversing Hackerspace is a good replacement for Prisoner if you rather her have some Speed. Speed is good, You WANT her to be able to get her buffs out first and foremost.  The best Planetary Sets will be Fleet of the Ageless, if you get her SPD to 120 or higher she will give her allies an ATK buff of 8%, which is what you want.

Stats:

Body ATK
Feet ATK%
Planar Sphere ATK% > Physical DMG
Link Rope Energy Regen Rate
Substats ATK% > SPD > HP% > DEF%

Endgame Stats:

  • HP: 3200+
  • ATK: 3000-4400+
  • DEF: 800+
  • SPD: 120+
  • ERR: 19.44%

Skill Priority: Ultimate > Skill > Talent > Basic

Best Team

There is a lot that be placed in and out of a team. You want anyone who can take advantage of Robin’s buff while “delaying” her turn so basically follow-up attacks or repeated attacks. Feixiao will be a TOP choice for Robin since she can offer so much already and the advancement of her attacks will rarely be an issue. March 4th’s Imaginary, Hunt Path can support her with the follow-up attacks but you will need a proper Shefu for March, being Topaz or Feixiao.

Topaz is another great option, she can follow up with more and more attacks, with Topaz also stacking CRIT for a majority of her DMG, she will be perfect to go hand-in-hand with Robin. Huohuo would be a great support to the support as Huohuo’s energy regent will help keep the uptime on Robin’s ULT. Yunli and Aventurine will be great options as well. Aventuirine is already dominating the field with Topaz, adding Robin to the mix can easily make them beg for mercy. Aventurine will also be returning in 2.6’s Phase Two after Rappa, so now may be a prime time to snag him!
