Apparently Highwind is an Important Keyword to Naming Part 3 of the Final Fantay 7 Remake
The word Highwind can mean a variety of things, and in the instance of talking about naming the third part of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, it’s apparently a very important keyword. Speaking in an interview with YouTube content creator Julien Chièze, Final Fantasy Remake co-director and Rebirth director Naoki Hamaguchi opens up about the decisions behind naming this third part of the game, and how close they are to their decision. Here’s all that was said during the interview.
Highwind is an Important Keyword to Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3’s Title
According to Hamaguchi, the word Highwind is an important keyword for the final installment of the 3 part series. He doesn’t divulge much apart from the word, but fans of the series should know and understand that he is most likely referring to the iconic airship in the original Final Fantasy 7 game.
This airship served as the main mode of transportation in the game. It’s already been confirmed by the devs that world exploration has been an important aspect when making this remake trilogy, so it isn’t a stretch to think that Highwind is going to be the inspiration for deciding on a name for this third game.
Interview with YouTube Content Creator Julien Chièze
In an interview with YouTube content creator Julien Chièze, Hamaguchi reveals how close he and Tetsuya Nomura, also a co-director on Remake and creative director of Rebirth, are to deciding on a name for the final game of the three-part series. Here are some of the key points of the interview:
“Me and Tetsuya Nomura have already narrowed it down to two, within the year we will decide on which one,”
“Within this year it will be set.”
“The third game, again, should be a better experience because we’ve learned and we know what people want and they like.”
