Rumor: Titanfall 3 Slated For 2026

Rumor: Titanfall 3 in the works?

The rumor has landed! We’ve just received rumors from Apex Legends leakers that Titanfall 3 is alive and set to be released in 2026 (please let it be true)! Yes, we are being serious, and no, we are not crying! While we are waiting for an official confirmation from EA and Respawn Entertainment, the possibility alone is enough for us fans to dust off our pilot helmets. We are ready!

A Series Cut Short

But let’s rewind a bit. A series of unfortunate events spelled the downfall of the fan favorite. The Titanfall series was originally released in 2014 with the gameplay doing a complete shift change from what we were expecting. We had wall-running, fast-paced gunplay, and mechs that you could call from the skies like you were summoning a deity! With its emphasis on a multiplayer campaign rather than a single player, Titanfall became an instant classic but suffered a lot due to its release after the horrible PR the Xbox One received.

Then Titanfall 2 dropped in 2016, which is still one of the best FPS single-player campaigns OF ALL TIME (BT, we miss you buddy!), was sadly overshadowed at the time of its release. Someone at EA or Respawn Entertainment had the bright idea to put it in a death slot between Battlefield I and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, causing sales to tank massively despite all the support it got. EA and Respawn Entertainment finally shelved the series and instead launched into the more successful games of Apex Legends and Star Wars Jedi, leaving all loyal fans with a massive cliffhanger (oh, the frustration!).

What Does The Leak Say

The rumor first came from Apex Legends leaker YOROTSUKI, who posted an image of the Titanfall 3 logo on X earlier today and was corroborated by another by the name Osvaldatore on X as well. They said that the “Secret Game” the studios were working on was the newest Titanfall game, but many fans have posted their skepticisms over the truth behind the post, claiming the April Fool’s Day was over but  many are optimistic and hope that it’s legit.

Several sources have cited that if there is a trailer release at the end of this year in December at the Game Awards with an expected release in 2026, then Titanfall 3 has been on the books for a while (they lied to us).

Can We Believe It?

It’s still a rumor, though, and we’ve been burned before by the studios. It’s been teased many times, only for fans to be told that it was scrapped again or just a false rumor. Here’s to hoping the outcome will be different, as this leak feels different as well. Sure, it’s easy for someone with graphic design experience to dupe a Titanfall logo, but the feel of it seems legit. As it may be, until the studios come forward to verify for us, we will remain cautiously optimistic. Will our favorite mech return to us? Or will we be left planet-side once again?
