Addictive Schedule 1 Early Access Leaves Players Wanting More

Schedule 1 review

Schedule 1 was released on the Steam platform on March 26, 2025, and immediately took the indie gaming world by storm. With its hilarious characters, rogue storytelling, and high-stakes gameplay, early access users are getting a chance to make it big. If you haven’t gotten the chance, I highly recommend checking out the overview of Schedule 1 here!

Jumping Right Into the Game

Schedule 1 puts players directly into the town of Hypoint by making connections, growing and selling products, and making a name for themselves. It offers early access players quick-paced, easy-to-follow instructions through your favorite convict, the uncle. Within minutes, players are introduced to the simple point-and-drag mechanics of the game. These mechanics allow you, the main character, to start growing and selling products quickly. In less than thirty minutes, in real time, you can also gain loyal followers.

Limitations of Early Access Gamplay

Early access gameplay does have some limitations. If you’re like me and into story-driven games, the Schedule 1 early access will give you just enough to go on. Players will miss out on key lore-building moments and be put directly into the center of action, so it won’t feel as immersive as the full game. Much of the explorable area is closed off, and gameplay is fixed to one particular area. The map size is decent for what we’re working with. What makes up for it are the hilariously sketchy and sometimes unreliable clientele spread across the city. These interesting characters bring the game to life and fill in the story behind the town.

But is it worth the risk? Well, the risks are high even in the demo. Cops often make patrols in the areas of the city you’re dealing in. So if players aren’t careful or make the wrong sale, you could find yourself getting cuffed and lasered. Even if your pockets are clean, the cops won’t care. Running away serves just as much risk as trying to play it cool. So, heads up, be alert to random searches, nightly curfews, and even potential contacts being compromised.

Final Thoughts

Would you give it a shot? The developers hope to continue improving the game, and this is just the tip of the iceberg. Try the early access demo on Stream now, and join in on the fun!
