You may be wondering what I mean by Trash Meta. Well, I will go into great detail about it in just a moment. Schedule 1 is a game that offers numerous options for earning money. I am here to tell you why collecting and selling trash at the Cash for Trash machines is the best way to get started early. Whether you are alone or working with friends, purchasing a trash collector is the Number 1 decision to make in your first few hours of gameplay.
Cost Efficiency
A trash collector is only $20. Even a single filled trash grabber can instantaneously pay this cost back. Collecting trash is hilariously lucrative at the beginning of the game. You’re going to be doing a significant amount of wandering around and completing deals. You might as well also be grabbing some trash. You will be surprised how much money you are able to make in a single day just by cleaning up the town. Schedule 1 has dumpsters placed all over the place, too. Don’t be afraid to raid them.
I’ll provide an example. In my latest playthrough with four other friends(we are using a mod), I dedicated myself to collecting trash as quickly as possible. I sprinted to Dan’s Hardware and bought a trash grabber. I ran around town, grabbing as much trash as possible; another friend did this as well. We split up our efforts to make it more efficient. Our cartel leader was trying to make some purchases at the end of the day, and he needed a bit more cash, so I ran over and dropped what I had collected from my trash. It was over $200 in a day.
Early on, you simply don’t have enough product to be moving it effectively between 5 players. If one is growing, another is packaging, and a third is dealing, what do the other two do? Let me tell you what you should do. Collect trash. I was at a point where I had five trash grabbers (the other trash-collecting guy became the strain maker), and I was filling them up while sprinting around the map. Unfortunately, Schedule 1‘s automatic supply does eventually run out. Don’t drop your trash collectors, though, they still have another use.
Time Efficiency
Trash collectors will save you enormous amounts of time and money in the trash-disposal aspect of the game. As your production increases, you will be making a lot more trash. Now you could pay for a trash AI to deal with it and supply them with trash bags. Or you could just do it yourself with a trash grabber. It’s super fast: walk in, eat everything up, and walk out. It takes seconds. I’m still doing this in my single-player playthrough. I will pay for botanists and packagers, but I will never pay for a trash AI.
As I said before, this is a great way to fill that awkward time you spend running from your stash to the customers. Grab some trash and throw it in the Cash for Trash. You don’t have to do it immediately; no one will steal your trash. Let it stack up. Your jaw will drop with how much money you make doing this, and you’re still doing deals. You’re just making the best of your time. You can clean up the town and make hundreds of dollars by doing it. It barely even requires a time investment because you’re doing other things anyway.
On your way to the Warehouse? Grab some trash. Running around the town looking for people to deal to? Grab some trash. Cops chasing you because you are out past curfew? Grab some trash. Schedule 1 has placed the Cash for Trash machines there for a reason. Use them. You will be the one hard carrying the income, especially in the early game. Your money will come in slowly because you have few customers and very few products to sell. Not if you’re collecting trash, though. If you’re collecting trash, you will excel.
You Should Be Gathering Trash
At the very least, do this early on. It helps jump-start your game. Especially if you have friends, not all of you are needed to make those early deals. Organize yourselves and assign at least one person as the trash collector. You will not regret it. They will be raking in cash and helping the organization get established. When the supply of trash starts to run out, leave the collectors wherever the growth is happening and continue using them. It’s only $20 for one trash grabber, and it will last the entire game in usefulness.
If you don’t believe me, give it a shot. When you go over to fill out Uncle Nelson’s first quest at Dan’s Hardware, grab a trash grabber, too. Give it to one of your friends and see how well they do. If you’re playing alone, keep it on you while you roam around the town and suburbs. There is a lot of trash to be collected. That’s a lot of money to be made. Schedule 1 may say that it’s about dealing illicit drugs to NPCs, but it’s also about collecting garbage and turning it into cold, hard cash.
