The brand-new DLC of Elden Ring, Shadow of the Erdtree brought over 100 new weapons and 8 new weapon archetypes. Adding to the numerous weapons and build crafting options already available to the players in the base game. Shadow of the Erdtree added two new Twinblades and Euporia is one of them. Euporia is probably one of the most unique weapons in the game. Euporia has a unique skill that allows it to power up the more you use it and damage enemy combatants with it. Also, with the most recent patch, Euporia has been significantly buffed making it one of the best weapons in the game.
How To Obtain Euporia
Unfortunately, Euporia is a late-game weapon that you can obtain from the final region of Shadow of the Erdtree. The weapon is present in Enir-Iilim and to obtain it you must start from the ‘Spiral Rise’ Site of Grace present in that region. Behind the Site of Grace, there will be a door and a staircase.
Once you go down the staircase you will see a building on the right side. Jump over the railing and you will fall on the staircase attached to the building. After that, you will follow quite a long path involving ledges, windows as well as a lift. After taking the final lift, you will come across a closed door. Open it and there will be a chest waiting for you which will reward you with Euporia.
The Legendary Twinblade
Shadow of the Erdtree’s Euporia is a Twinblade that has the standard moveset same as other Eldin Ring Twinblades. It comes with an amazing weapon skill called “Euporia Vortex”. This skill allows the weapon to have a charging mechanic based on dealing several hits in quick succession.
It has two attack stages, after doing three light attacks or one charged heavy attack, Euporia will charge up getting 5 percent increased damage as well as shooting Holy projectiles. After the same amount of attacks, players can charge the twinblade again to tier 2. At tier 2, the Vortex skill lasts longer dealing increased overall damage. When it’s charged, it also adds 100 to 150 flat Holy damage which lasts about 30 seconds.
Stat Requirements, Scaling & Focus
Euporia scales primarily with Strength, Dexterity, and Faith. To wield it properly, players must have 16 Strength, 16 Dexterity, and 24 Faith. It comes with an initial scaling of D in all Strength, Dexterity, and Faith. Faith boosts its Holy damage, whereas Strength and Dexterity boosts the Physical damage.
Faith is the priority with Euporia because while using this weapon, players want it to be in a buffed state so they can take as much advantage of it as possible. Leveling up Faith to 60 is essential, after that, you can focus either Strength or Dexterity to 40. This weapon does not consume much FP so focusing on Mind stat is not a good decision and players will be better off focusing on Vigor to increase Strength, and Endurance to increase Stamina.
Synergetic Weapons, Spells, & Talismans
Euporia is perfectly fine on its own, but considering the high Faith requirement it has, players can easily take advantage of other Incantations in the game that has high Faith requirements. Spells like Flame Grant Me Strength and Golden Order are extremely good to have to further boost the damage of the weapon. Talismans are also a great way to improve weapon and weapon stats. There are four that can improve compatibility with Euporia for an easier time to master:
- Millicent’s Prosthesis boosts Dexterity by +5 and raises attack power with consecutive attacks which synergizes extremely well with Twinblades.
- Rotten Winged Sword Insignia greatly raises attack power with consecutive attacks.
- Shard of Alexander is a great Talisman which increases the damage of our weapons’ skills by a flat 15 percent.
- Erdtree’ Favor is a neutral Talisman which will raise our maximum HP, stamina, and Equip Load.
Euporia’s Weapon Performance
Euporia is a weapon that rewards the players for using it. The more you use it, the charge attacks will cause more damage to enemies and bosses. All the Talismans and Spells used alongside this Twinblade just require the player to avoid enemy attacks and they will be dealing massive damage. The beam of Holy projectile that this weapon is capable of doing when fully charged up deals not only ranged damage but also deletes the health bar of bosses. Overall Euporia is one of the best weapons that drop from Shadow of the Erdtree and is extremely easy to build around and take advantage of.
