3 Important Shot Types in EA FC 25

EA FC 25

Shooting in EA FC 25 is similar to the previous installments, but knowing more than the basic shot will take your game to the next level. The basic shot is the same control of circle on PlayStation and B on the Xbox. You can customize the attacking controls and look at advanced options for the more advanced players. There are some notable changes in the controls with more detailed types of shots.

The Shots of EA FC 25

Timed Shot

A valuable shot to learn is the Timed Shot. To do this, you hit the shot button twice, with the second being timed. This gives the user more control over their shot and would be easier to trick the goalie. The classic Chip Shot is always a curveball for the defense. To perform this shot you hit L1 or LB then the shot button. Certain players are better than others on this shot in EA FC 25, but it is important to use it wisely.

Finesse

The Finesse Shot is somewhat similar to the Chip Shot in that it has reduced speed. This shot can be done by hitting R1 or RB plus the shot button. Mastering the Finesse Shot will improve your game immensely. A Power Shot is performed by hitting the left and right bumpers plus the shot button. This is a shot type to not use lightly, using the Power Shot in EA FC 25 will sacrifice accuracy.

Fake Shot

Being able to take a Fake Shot is a little more complicated than the other shots but still easy to learn. The controls start with hitting the shot button and then the pass button which is either A or X plus whatever direction you want to fake. To perform a Fake Shot to Shot you can start with either the shot button, pass button or lob pass button. The next step is to use the left stick plus no direction. This is definitely a more advanced shot type and to be able to master this shot will be difficult.

Conclusion

Some players like to just make a simple risk and use the basic shot when they’re open on goal, but if you truly want to improve it is important to learn all shot types. Shooting in EA FC 25 just like in the past using the L stick for direction is key. A lot of advanced options for offensive tactics can be accessed by the D-Pad. There is the option to have up to 4 custom tactics to choose between.

EA FC 25 seems to have made changes met with mixed reviews. One thing that has improved due to more options is the shooting in the game. More realistic animations of the actual movements of the stars around the world make the type of shot you take extremely important. EA Sports, which has offices in California, has done well in separating the shooting controls between casual and competitive players.
