Disney Dreamlight Valley Winter Ball Update: How to Prepare for Cinderella, Star Path & Events
The Winter Ball Update is coming to Disney Dreamlight Valley, and it’s bringing a new villager, Star Path, and winter events. Is your valley ready to jump right into the new content? I’m sure we can help to get you there!
How to Prepare for the Winter Ball
So far, we know that the Winter Ball update will launch on December 10. So we still have a little time to get ready. Gameloft has given us a fair amount of details via a video on Facebook. So we can make some guesses about what we’ll need to do.
The Fairy Godmother will seek our help to bring Cinderella to the valley. This involves the appearance of a glass slipper and breaking a “protective pumpkin enchantment.” With these characters being the focus of the update, you can be sure that pumpkins will be involved. So, I’ll be planting some pumpkins before the update to make sure I have them on hand.
Once Cinderella has joined the valley, we know we’ll be helping her explore a new hobby, befriend animals, and plan a big ball. It’s difficult to say what we might need on hand for these quests. But the result of completing her quests is ultimately her handmade gown.
One thing we can guess is that you’ll need to have finished most, if not all, of the Fairy Godmother’s friendship quests. So, if you haven’t done that, I’d make it a priority before the update.
Winter Warmth Star Path
With the coming of a new Star Path, there are some things we can guess we’ll be asked to do. Clearing night thorns, picking vegetables, and gathering memories are all common. So plant some veggies, let the night thorns grow, and leave some memories lying around.
For the memories, I use one of my floating islands as a storage island. Part of that is a large farming section. By setting that up, memories can be left in that area for easy gathering when needed. This saves you the need to run around trying to find them.
The new Star Path includes new fashions, decorations, and the best thing of all, a new baby pegasus, all dressed up for a winter festival (pictured above on the left).
Additional Events
From December 17 through December 31, there will be a Gift of Giving event. This will include receiving and giving gifts, and building snowmen. The previous year’s holiday-themed event achievements and rewards will be available to gather during this event. And, a gift will spawn in the valley each day to provide new Touch of Magic crafting recipes.
On December 25, a special gift will spawn and be available to collect until December 31. From the video, it looks like this will appear in the castle.
From January 7 through January 28, the floating festival portal will be present in the valley and take you to a new winter-themed event. Weekly puzzles will include things like hot chocolate making and trivia. Solving all of the island’s puzzles will result in a new outfit (pictured above on the right).
The Winter Events Are Almost Here!
That’s quite a lot to look forward to! So plant those veggies, ignore the night thorns, complete your Fairy Godmother quests, and get ready for the arrival of her highness, Cinderella! We’re going to have plenty of activities to complete when the update arrives on December 10.
