Two Point Museum: Zooseum Guide – How to Master Breeding Animals and Exhibit Management
The devs of Two Point Museum added a splash of life into their game by introducing the Zooseum DLC. Two Point Studios has not only gifted players with the ability to search and rescue living creatures, but also to utilize a breeding program for the animals.
Welcome to Two Point Museum: Zooseum!

Forget everything you know about standard museum curation, because this expansion has you managing a full-blown wildlife sanctuary inside the stately manor of Wiggy Silverbottom. The eccentric billionaire has decided to take a few tips from “Ace Ventura” and transformed his mansion into a wildlife preserve. Of course, it will be up to the players to manage the new establishment and prevent any “Jumanji” levels of chaos from happening.
The DLC introduces a massive amount of content, including a new “Farflung Isles” expedition map, over 40 new wildlife exhibits, and a new expert staff type: the Wildlife Expert. The goal is the same as any zoo: it’s to heal, raise, and eventually re-wild any rescued creature. It’s essentially Two Point Hospital meets a very disorganized zoo, and it’s fantastic.
The player will be sending expeditions to the Farflung Isles to rescue creatures, often suffering from the “Farflung Flu.” Once they arrive, your new Wildlife Experts need to nurse them back to health. This adds a layer of urgency that the base game sometimes lacked. If you ignore a painting, it gets dirty. If you ignore a sick lion, well, you have a much bigger problem on your hands.
The Mastery of Breeding and Raising Future Wildlife

Two Point Museum: Zooseum revolves around the lifecycle of the animal exhibits. Just like in any establishment that focuses on the care of animals, players are gonna get the whole experience. These creatures have needs: food, water, medical care, and hygiene, just to name a few, before being returned back into the wild.
The breeding program follows the same goal, with the player raising the creature to be released into the Farflung Isles. Gamers have to be a Curator Level 4 to have the ability to breed the animals. With that, certain conditions need to be fulfilled for the animals they want to breed. The following items and conditions are listed below:
- The same species, different genders in the same exhibit
- Enough exhibit space for the new cub(s)
- Installing a baby hutch
- The parental animals are at max happiness
Once these conditions are met, the animals will breed even if they are rooming together with different species. Keep in mind that each animal has specific traits that will influence its behavior in how it will treat its mate and baby. For animals born in the zoo, the player can select traits that will affect the animal’s value. If a player makes the best environment for these creatures, they can earn Sanctuary Points, the new currency you’ll need to adopt even more animals.
Habitat Management: Keep Friends Close and Enemies FAR AWAY!

One of the funniest (and most stressful) parts of the Zooseum is managing and maintaining the enclosures and their residents. The DLC introduces five different biome variants, each with specific flora and decoration requirements. Oh, and here’s the kicker: some animals absolutely hate each other. You have to be incredibly careful about who you room together. If you mix the wrong species, you’re going to have fights, stressed-out critters, and terrified guests.
With all these restrictions, there is a glorious exception to the fray: the Unflappybara (HA!). True to its name, this chill rodent can live anywhere with anyone, being the emotional support animal we all wish we had. For animals that have no gender assigned to them – pet rock, cabin snail, Silverback monobeast- they belong in a “Terrarium,” and don’t need partners to reproduce.
Final Thoughts: Zoology Is Coming To Life in A Museum!!!
If you love the frantic energy of the Two Point series, this is a no-brainer. The addition of living exhibits changes the pacing of the game significantly because you’re managing a variety of ecosystems. The humor is on point (as always), the new “Wildlife Expert” staff type adds a nice layer to your hiring strategy, and the sheer chaos of an animal escaping into a museum lobby is comedy gold. The Zooseum DLC is a chaotic paradise that will never give you a dull moment. Not. A. Single. One.
