How to Unlock Cruella in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Cruella de Vil, fashionista, designer, and lover of fur coats, has joined the cast of characters in Disney Dreamlight Valley through the Wishblossom Ranch expansion. Whether you like her or not, she’s the second of the new villagers to join you. So, get ready to be bossed around. Cruella is here.
How to Welcome Cruella de Vil to the Valley
Before you can do anything else, you’ll need to win over the trust of Maximus. Getting him to level 3 is needed so you can jump over (and repair) the bridge to Glamour Gulch. Head over to our horse leveling article for more on that!
Once you cross the bridge, a whole chain of quests starts with a mystery quest giver. You’ll follow some rather obvious car tracks, then your horse will allow you to follow a scent trail right to the very perturbed Cruella de Vil. She’s crashed her very fancy automobile and demands you help her in exchange for the very important Crystal Key you need to continue healing the land (which is in peril because of her, but what else can a ruler do).
Cruella the Demanding
The villain is very concerned about what’s been happening with Glamour Gulch, which she calls De Vil Moor. So, she’ll send you off to take photos of the mine tracks, the iron bridge, and the lighthouse. The bridge is the one that’s above where you entered Glamour Gulch. The mine tracks are those along the top of the ravine, so take your pic from the edge above the crashed car. The lighthouse… is a lighthouse. You can’t miss it.
After you show her the images (and she’s not thrilled) she tells you to repair a Bell Tower. That requires gathering a bunch of materials you can find all around Glamour Gulch.
She isn’t done with you yet. Next, she wants Afternoon Tea. So you’ll head off to find Goofy and his travel stall. Buy the seeds for Dark Chocolate Coffee Beans and Pearly Barley and plant them somewhere. You’ve probably already gathered Pincushion Peaches. And the last thing is any vegetable. After you have all four ingredients, you can make the Afternoon Tea. Give it to Cruella, who gives you furniture to place somewhere in Glamour Gulch.
Then We Get the Crystal Key?

No. She’s too upset about her car. But she also doesn’t like your fashion sense. So she gives you an outfit to wear. She has a plan for getting the car out of the ravine, but she needs you to find her missing journal pages. She blames the skunks for stealing them. That gives her the design she created, but now you need the materials to create a Rope and Pulley Repair Kit.
You should already have some Pearly Barley by now. Dig for Beady Soil in Glamour Gulch. And fish for Wire Coat Hangers (not in ripples) and Measuring Tape Snails (white ripples). Craft the Repair Kit, put the Mod Saddle on your horse, then talk to Cruella and get that car!
The Key is in the Trunk, Right?
Um… no. It wasn’t there, and Cruella isn’t being helpful. She tells you to talk to the “Dry-cleaning girl.” It’s Snow White who tells you about Professor Moffette. This is so adorable. Gather more Beady Soil, Black Silk Flowers, Red Silk Flowers, and Jasper to craft the skunk house. You’ll need to place it by a cave entrance that has some flags outside it. Then you’ll meet Professor Moffette, the founder of Skunk Institute of Fashion. Yep. I said skunk.
A Rebellion!

You’ll have to go inside Cruella’s “fortress.” There are three statues of greyhounds that need to be deactivated while avoiding search lights. It’s like the Alice in Wonderland quest in the rose garden. Avoiding the lights is rather easy. Once you’ve deactivated the statues, you’ll be treated to an adorable cut scene.
After a conversation with Cruella, she sees things your way and finally agrees to hand over the Crystal Key if you place her house. Placing the house unlocks Cruella, who will then give you the Key. You can also engage in all of the usual things to raise her friendship level.
Oh, and you’ll get a lovely surprise for finishing the quest, too!
