Operators and New Outfits

For the final season of MWIII’s life cycle and this era of Warzone, the devs wanted to make an iconic and fun season. Considering its time of release and how close it is to the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, it’s only logical that this battle pass be centered around Halloween. Those who purchase the battle pass will unlock a 10% boost towards battle pass XP, a weapon blueprint, the Mountaineer outfit for the Operator Farah, and an operator of the man himself: Michael Myers. He comes with a unique finishing move and those who bought the Blackcell bundle, also get his Blackcell outfit. Michael Myers isn’t the only horror to slash his way onto MWIII, an operator skin for Dokkaebi makes this operator look like a scarecrow come to life. Bubby, the Burger Town mascot has seen his fair share of horror, he makes an appearance as a skin for the operator Riptide dubbed “Bubby’s Night Out”. Ghost has seen better days, and his past continues to haunt him, it seems like 3 different versions of himself have morphed together and fused into one singular being known as “Alone”. He can be unlocked by purchasing the Blackwell bundle.

As many villains and atrocities make their way here, there are also survivors and heroes alike. Operator Valeria does her take on the final survivor trope in horror movies and games with a cheerleader cosplay outfit named “Final Girl”. Operator Banshee gets her fair share of horror with an outfit that nods to the trope of horror movies taking place in the wilderness with her outfit named “Camp is Hell”. Another brand new operator called Slamfire makes his way on the battle pass, an average working man who hasn’t quite left his former glory days in high school, regardless, he makes one hell of an ally. One last mention is Operator Jabber who has gotten himself in quite a predicament, seemingly being held hostage by a clown who carries him around, his outfit is appropriately named: “This is fine”.

New weapons and cosmetics

This battle pass only features 80 total tiers to unlock instead of the usual 100, most likely due to how close it is to the release of the next Call of Duty title, regardless, there are plenty of goodies to unlock. Starting with the two new weapons introduced this season: the DTIR 30-06 and the Kastov LSW. The DTIR is a new battle rifle, which focuses on great accuracy and high damage to take out threats at long-range engagements. The Kastov LSW is a new LMG, designed with amazing accuracy while in Tac Stance, while also offering the best fire rate for its class of weapons, this LMG makes a formidable threat from short to medium-range engagements. Many other weapons get their fair share of love in this new season as well with new weapon blueprints. Starting with the assault rifles, we have the “Death’s Hands” blueprint for the SVA 545, and the “Mortal Demise” for the BP50. The WSP-9 gets an interesting blueprint called “Creeping Death”, the new Kastov LMG even gets a new blueprint called “Death Drop”.

The new DTIR battle rifle gets a blueprint named “Dead Haunting”, and the Longbow sniper rifle gets a new interesting blueprint called “Demon Raiser”. Rounding off the featured blueprints is the one for the sledgehammer melee weapon called “Demon’s Reign”. There are many other weapon blueprints to be unlocked in this battle pass, along with these blueprints comes a plethora of new cosmetics for weapons and player cards such as emblems, calling cards, decals, weapon stickers, charms, and many more. One last honorable mention is when players purchase the battle pass and finish it, they will be rewarded with 300 Cod Points, a new weapon blueprint for the Superi 46 called “Split Ends”, and one last skin for Farah called “Urzikstan’s Ghost”.  With all these rewards waiting for the player base, the time for grinding is now.

What’s next?

The launch trailer for this battle pass also teased a lot of interesting additions to the game as well, some already available and some on the way to the rotation for the MWIII store. The trick-or-treating demon himself, Sam, is making an appearance in the game, looking like a grown adult, which is probably even scarier than his kid form. Art the Clown slashes his way onto Season 6 as well, looking just as psychotic as ever in his multiple appearances in other media and his movies.  The Smiling phenomenon has infected Season 6, Valeria and Makarov have fallen victim to this phenomenon as well, showing creepy and inhuman smiles as they drag their victims away to share the “happiness”.

Departing Thoughts

This final season for MWIII goes all out for the player base, with all these new exciting rewards and anticipated operator bundles. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is just around the corner with its release window in late October, meaning that there’s still plenty to do as we inch closer to the next cod. With that being said, it’s time to hop on, squad up, and grind your way to completion of the last season of content for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III.
