A.M.P. Strategist has ruled the Teamfight Tactics ladder since Cyber City was released to live servers. Its reign of terror was bound to end eventually. With the Mid-Patch update, it has finally ended. Players are free from seeing Samira, Koboko, and Annie in their games. It may still appear here and there, but its dominance is long gone. Those are not the only changes, so let us dive into the Mid-Patch update.

Balance Impact on Teamfight Tactics
The Mid-Patch update has a significant impact on the meta. The nerfs to Annie, Kobuko, and Samira push the A.M.P. Strategist composition far down the tierlist. Likely, you will see it in positions where the game lines up perfectly. The nerfs also have implications for Street Demons and Cyberboss compositions, but they should not have as serious implications.
Two other compositions got nerfs in this patch, notably Anima Squad and Executioners. Anima Squad losing damage amp and Armor/MR means it will struggle to match up in the mid-late game. Anima Squad will still be a powerhouse in the right spot, but it will be significantly more demanding to get first place with it. The nerfs to Rengar shift the Executioner composition down slightly, but with buffs to Vex and Graves announced to be coming in 14.2, it should move back up to where it was before the Mid-Patch.
Overall, the meta should stay relatively the same, with the only substantial change being the drop of A.M.P. Strategist. Expect to see a rise in more late-game-oriented compositions to fight for the top places in the tier list due to the obscene amount of resources provided by Hacks. We wait and see how the rest of the meta plays out and what is coming in Patch 14.2.
