Teamfight Tactics Set 14: Captivating Street Demon Masterpieces

Teamfight Tactics street demons

There appears to be some vandalism on the boards in Teamfight Tactics. Set 14, Cyber City, sees the addition of the Street Demons trait. Paint is the Street Demons’ best tool for victory. Being able to create a masterpiece is your route to success with this trait, but being able to do so is not a simple task. Today, we will show you how to hone your painting skills.

Street Demons is another trait with eight units in total, and without the addition of emblems, its cap is 7 Street Demons. While it may seem best to drop a one-cost unit for a four or five-cost unit, that is rarely the case with these comps. Zyra shares the Techie Trait with Brand, while Dr. Mundo’s Bruiser Trait allows for Kobuko’s inclusion. The usual suspects to get replaced are Rengar or Jinx. The eight units in the Street Demon trait are Zyra, Dr. Mundo, Ekko, Jinx, Rengar, Neeko, Brand, and Samira.

For every game, the boards will have painted hexagons that provide health, attack damage, and ability power. Four of the hexes are signatures, which give fifty percent more power. Street Demons gain double the bonus on these hexes. Players who played during Set 10: Remix Rumble will feel right at home since the painted hexes resemble the lighted hexes for K/DA.

Street Demon Early Game

Having a board with three Street Demons in the early game can help with win streaking. Boards without upgraded two-star units and items slammed will struggle to win in the early game. Two-star Ekko is an almost guaranteed win streak in the early game. Players should not hesitate to slam AP items on Zyra, as she can carry them until you find Brand later in the game. Pairing Dr. Mundo and Alistar in the early game will be your most-played early-game frontline.

Street Demon Mid-Game

Playing Five Street Demons in the Mid-Game is significantly more painful than Anima Squad. You need two or three costs in Jinx and Rengar to do so. If you can hit these units, you want to play them over others for trait pairs. Two units to play at level six are either Mordekaiser or Yuumi. Morderkaiser offers Techie and Bruiser, while Yuumi provides Strategist. Jinx can carry Samira items in the mid-game to help get those crucial wins during stage three and even stage four. At this point, Ekko should have Neeko’s items to help Jinx and Zyra get eliminations.

Street Demon Late Game

Two-star Neeko and Brand are vital to keep your head above water in the Late Game if you can not hit Samira. Shred of some kind will help Brand paint his way through enemy frontlines and get access to enemy carries. The core items for Brand are Spear of Shojin and Jeweled Gauntlet. Guardbreaker, Rabadon’s Deathcap, and Nashor’s Tooth can fit into his third item slot.

Samira has several item options. Infinity Edge and Last Whisper enable her to deal significant damage, and Sunder the majority of the board with her ability. While she has built-in sustain, if she takes too much damage during fights, Hand of Justice is a great option to provide crit and sustain. Alternatively, Shojin will allow her to cast more often. Finding a two-star Samira is key to capping out a Street Demon board.

The three best units to add to late-game boards are Yuumi, Kobuko, and Ziggs. Yuumi is the most important, as she gives an additional Strategist and procs A.M.P for Samira. With an emblem, running Koboko and Ziggs together, the board will have four Strategists, two Bruisers, and two Cyberbosses. A two-star Koboko with these traits can become the main tank for the board. As with all late-game boards, adding Zac or Garen, especially with many rounds, will provide significant value to your team.

Street Demon Positioning

With the hexes changing every game, your board positioning will never be the same. Placing your carries in the signature hexes is recommended for 99% of fights. The only times this may not be the case are if your carries, especially Brand, are under threat from backline access from units like Rengar, Shaco, or Viego. The rest of your units do not have to be in painted hexes if it hurts overall positioning. If your positioning is not affected, the extra stats are always welcome.

When to Play Street Demon

With the flexibility of AP and AD items for Street Demon, they will not be the best indicator for when to play this comp. Upgraded Street Demons in the early game or the two Street Demon Augments will be the clear indication for players to dive deeper into this trait. Freestyling is a fun augment to take. It allows players to paint the entire board and simplifies positioning for the late game.

Street Demon Augments

The trait overall has a powerful frontline, so giving additional combat power to the backline units, Brand and Samira, helps. Glass Cannon II and Manaflow II are great options as they allow your carries to deal more damage or cast more often, respectively. One econ or experience-focused augment will allow you to go to levels eight and nine to ensure you find your best boards.
