Tears of the Kingdom is Getting a Zelda Master Works

The Legend of Zelda Master Works Tears of the Kingdom

Tears of the Kingdom is getting a Zelda Master Works. Nintendo revealed the latest entry in their video game supplements, providing some players with a unique look at this version of Hyrule. The Zelda franchise is rich in lore and these last two games have featured some incredible artwork. This Zelda Master Works will combine the two and give fans of the series a whole new look at it.

Zelda Master Works Announced for Tears of the Kingdom

On August 24, the official X (Twitter) account for the game franchise shared a tweet detailing their latest undertaking. Ambit, the publisher of the book, shared an inside look at some of what’s in the Tears of the Kingdom Master Works.

Unsurprisingly, there are a lot of looks into the art and style of the game. Link and his many outfits, plus weapon designs, are both shown off and discussed in great detail. There is just one caveat. Everything is in Japanese, which makes sense since the game company is based there and (for now), the Zelda Master Works is exclusive to Japan.

New Zelda Book Could Add More Lore

The book is broken down into three sections: Artwork, Making, and History. The first two will provide excellent drawings and art and a look at the behind-the-scenes of game development. That might be particularly interesting since this game does things the Nintendo Switch arguably shouldn’t be able to handle.

The last section, the history of Tears of the Kingdom, is probably worth looking into. Much has been made about the overarching Zelda timeline and how all these games fit together. Nintendo has a loose timeline that only barely makes any sense, and the latest Zelda Master Works will likely further cement the place of the latest game.

It figures to provide backstory and lore for all the characters, races, and timelines evident in Tears of the Kingdom. That’s significant since both Breath of the Wild and its sequel seem to have a collection of seemingly unconnected aspects of the franchise.

Species that shouldn’t really be in the same game and other interesting pieces of the title may finally be explained in detail. Nintendo may be gearing up for a lore dump, and it could have significant ramifications on the franchise at large.

Conclusion

For now, this book is restricted to Japan. It’s unclear whether or not other countries will ever get this version, as the Breath of the Wild Master Works was also limited in region. Either way, a lot more information could be coming about the latest game right before The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom hits shelves.
