Esports has become a popular sport with many countries becoming incorporated with it. There are many different teams for each country and each region. However, if you pay close attention, you notice that all the teams consist of men. So, are there women in Esports, and who are the best?

When you watch Esports tournaments you are more than likely watching an all-male team, but you would be surprised to know that there are female teams out there that you probably don’t know about. However, people don’t know how different it is for women in Esports and just female gamers in general.
It can be harder for women in Esports as well as gaming because of other people being rude towards women who are into gaming. Many people doubt that women can be as good as men at video games, however, many people don’t realize that women can become better than men at video games.

2. G2 Mimi
G2 Mimi is one of the most talented female Esports players in the world, she has played for multiple teams for multiple games. Mimi is a veteran when it comes to a game called CS: GO, she is a highly skilled player and one of the few women to two international championships across two different Esports. Mimi has played for Team XSET and has now moved over to play with G2 Gozen.
Mimi is also one of the best female Valorant players in the world with her best agent being KAY/O. She is one of the best KAY/O players in the world with her Average Combat Score (ACS) being an amazing score of 234.8 with the Initiator agent. Mimi is a highly skilled and highly reliable player who is a role model for other women who are looking to join the sport.
1. V1 MeL

MeL is the In-Game Leader (IGL) for the team Virsion1. She is a top-performing player not only for her team but also in the game servers that she plays in. MeL was the previous leader of the team called C9 White before the team disbanded at the end of 2022 and she joined V1. Even though MeL joined a different team she has only sharpened her skills and has become a better player than before.
MeL is not one of the best Valorant players because of her mechanical skills, but because of her in-game knowledge. She is one of the smartest players in the game making it easy for her to excel in many roles of the game. Even though her stats may not be as good as Mimi’s, her brain is what makes her a dangerous competitor.
