Destiny 2 features many exciting weapons with their own perks options and combinations. The Final Shape expansion also introduced some brand-new weapon archetypes. Shotguns are one of the most popular weapons in the game. They are solid in The Crucible and have the potential to deal massive damage in the PvE sandbox. This article will go over the three strongest Shotguns that were released in Destiny 2.
Heritage
Heritage is a Pinpoint Slug Frame Shotgun that has no elemental affinity. It is a Kinetic weapon that has perk combinations which makes it one of the highest DPS weapons. This weapon drops from the Deep Stone Crypt Raid and with Season of the Seraph is also Craftable. Allowing players to farm the Raid when it is in the weekly rotation to get the patterns required to create the perfect God Roll.
In the left column, this weapon has the perks of Demolitionist, Pugilist, Threat Detector, Slideshot, Auto-Loading Holster, Reconstruction, and Hip-Fire Grip. In the right column, Offhand Strike, Swashbuckler, Focused Fury, Moving Target, Snapshot Sights, Recombination, and Killing Wind are present.
Swordbreaker
Swordbreaker is a Lightweight Frame Shotgun in Destiny 2 that has Strand affinity. Lightweight Frames are one of the most popular in the game and luckily this weapon has perks for both PvE and PvP. This weapon drops from the Crota’s End Raid and is also Craftable. The main appeal of this weapon comes from having One-Two Punch as well as being a Strand weapon. This synergizes well with Strand Titans, allowing their Melee ability to do insane damage.
This weapon has 14 perk options. In the left column, Demolitionist, Slideshot, Threat Detector, Focused Fury, Elemental Capacitor, Subsistence, and Pugilist are present. In the right column, Hatchling, Barrel Constrictor, Opening Shot, One-Two Punch, Sword Logic, Golden Tricorn, and Surrounded. This weapon also has an Origin Trait called Cursed Thrall which further synergizes well with Melee builds.
Conditional Finality
Conditional Finality is an Exotic Shotgun in Destiny 2 and is the only weapon in the game that has both Stasis and Solar affinity. This weapon drops as a random chance drop after completing the Root of Nightmares Raid. This weapon comes with an Intrinsic Perk called Split Decision. This allows the weapon to hold two shots in the magazine. The first shot of the mag always deals Stasis damage, whereas the second shot deals Solar damage.
This weapon also has an Exotic perk called Paracausal Pellets. This allows the weapon to land most of the pellets from this first shot to freeze the enemy. Similarly, landing most of the pellets with the second shot Ignites the enemy combatants. This is one of the best Exotic in Destiny 2, thanks to its crowd control and high damage potential. This weapon also has incredible Range and Handling and has been dominating The Crucible meta for a long time.
