Ubisoft recently revealed the post-launch roadmap for their upcoming game Star Wars Outlaws which will feature two-story packs and two cosmetic packs. Players who purchase the season pass will get all the content shown in the roadmap. Customers who purchase the Gold/Ultimate edition of Ubisoft’s Star Wars Outlaws will be able to play three days early. Star Wars Outlaws tells the story of Kay Vess as she, along with her companion Nix, tries to buy back their freedom by committing the largest heist the galaxy has ever seen.

Launch And Post-Launch Content

In Ubisoft’s press release, they revealed that owners of the season pass will have access to the quest Jabba’s Gambit and the Kessel Runner cosmetic bundle on launch. The Kessel Runner cosmetic bundle will allow players to have Kay Vess dress like Han Solo; similar to how Jedi Survivor allowed Cal Kestis to dress like Obi-Wan. The roadmap also showcases two more cosmetic bundles called Hunter’s Legacy and Cartel Ronin which Ubisoft also revealed will contain extra outfits as well as skins for Kay’s speeder and starship.
Ubisoft also revealed the roadmap contains two story packs with one called Star Wars Outlaws: Wildcard while the other is called Star Wars Outlaws: A Pirate’s Fortune. The Wildcard expansion will have Kay try and sneak into a Sabacc game and will also feature the charismatic Lando Calrissian. A Pirate’s Fortune on the other hand will have Kay Vess and Nix come across the legendary pirate Hondo Ohnaka. Hondo Ohnaka is a fan favorite Weequay pirate from Star Wars: The Clone Wars TV show and Star Wars: Rebels. Wildcard will release in Fall 2024 while A Pirate’s Fortune will release in Spring 2025.
Lando, Hondo, And Jabba
Most Star Wars fans who have seen The Empire Strikes Back and/or Return of the Jedi will know who Lando Calrissian is. He’s the administrator of Cloud City as well as a friend of the smuggler Han Solo. Considering how in Solo: A Star Wars Story, we saw Lando both cheat and lose his ship the Millennium Falcon in two different games of Sabacc, it makes sense he’s part of the Sabacc story expansion.
Since Jabba is a gangster and both part of and the future leader of the Hutt Cartel, it’d be strange if he wasn’t in a Star Wars game that dealt with the criminal underworld. With it taking place between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, players might get to see Han Solo as a frozen wall decoration in Jabba’s Palace. As mentioned in the first section, Hondo Ohnaka is a pirate from The Clone Wars TV show which is where he originated from. At times he’d serve as an antagonist while at others he’d serve as an ally towards Jedi like Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Ahsoka.
Future Content?
Something interesting about the roadmap reveal is that at the bottom of the image, we see an arrow that goes past Spring 2025. Whether that indicates Ubisoft has more Star Wars Outlaws content planned is anyone’s guess but AC: Valhalla had a season pass and also had DLC come out that wasn’t part of the season pass. If Ubisoft does have more content planned past 2025, it’d be cool to see Kay run into Boba Fett, if she doesn’t do so in game already. Ubisoft’s Star Wars Outlaws will be released on August 30th for the PlayStation Five, Xbox Series X/S, and Ubisoft Connect for PC/Windows.
