Valorant Is Coming to Consoles: Beta Release Date Announced

Big news, everyone: All that waiting and guessing we’ve been doing has finally paid off! That super fab FPS we all know and love is finally getting a major change: Valorant is coming to consoles. This exciting bit of news popped up at the Summer Game Fest! That’s not all the big news, though. They’re also kicking off a limited beta run beginning June 14th. If anything screams “huge deal,” this is it! This interesting turn has Valorant stepping out of its PC comfort zone, reaching out and embracing console gamers everywhere! Here’s what we know.

Valorant: More Than Just Guns and Bullets

Valorant isn’t just about shooting guns and hitting targets. It’s much more than that. Players can pick an “Agent” for every game – and each agent is a character with their very own set of skills. Also, these agents are from all over the world! It makes things exciting because you never play the same way twice. Plus, your game highlights will always be different too!

Valorant is also about finding your creative side when under pressure. You know those nail-biting moments when you’re alone against multiple opponents? Well, in Valorant you find a way to win even then! Once the tension breaks, cheers explode from your silent teammates who can finally breathe again. That’s what makes Valorant so special if you ask me. The makers of the game at Riot Games seem to agree! They can’t wait to bring those heart-stopping moments to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players as well.

Custom-built Gameplay for Consoles

So, the team at Riot Games is keen on making sure that when you play Valorant on consoles, it feels just as awesome and competitive. They’re pulling out all the stops to design a “custom-made gameplay” for console users. Essentially, they want you to get the real feel of playing Valorant and not miss out on any part of it. Arnar Gylfason is heading the production stuff over there and he was super clear about one thing: The hardcore, gritty competition that lies at the heart of Valorant should be spot-on with a controller in hand.

Cross-Progression and Simultaneous Releases

Here’s the deal with Valorant. Even though you can’t do a cross-play between your PC and console, they’re going to give you this cool “linked shared storage” feature! Plus, there’ll be cross-progression for accounts as well. Additionally, Riot is saying that all live patch balances will debut at the same time across platforms – including new agents, maps, and those fancy bonus content items! So basically, when anything fresh drops in Valorant like a brand-new map or an agent, everyone will get it at once. No delays. No waiting around. Everything will be simultaneously released to all players like magic – regardless of where they play their game from!

Valorant Is Coming to Consoles

Starting June 14, all of us eager gamers will get a little sneak peek of Valorant being played on consoles – how cool is that? And guess what else? Riot Games definitely has a few tricks up their sleeves too. They’ll be rolling out different game modes and maps during this Limited Beta period. That’s just to make sure we have enough time to get the hang of it. Sounds like fun, doesn’t it?
