What Are Insane Hunters in Helldivers 2

Attention all Helldivers! Your Super Earth is calling you to be the edge of the couple, the tip of the knife, the point of the spear, to be a hero, to be immortalized, a savior, a Helldiver. As you are out defending Managed Democracy, you might encounter what our scientific branch has designated Terminids Hunters. Your training requires you to understand all of them before you become a Heavy Diver. Your benevolent Democracy has kindly obliged you to prepare you for what you will find out there.

Helldivers 2 Hunters

Hunters are the warriors of the Terminids. One of those gigantic bugs with deadly adaptations and instincts will stop at nothing to get your in-game family. They are not like the constructed souls, the Automatons. Terminids were born to use their claws to rip apart children, unlike the Automatons who prefer to blow away little ones. These Hunters will rapidly close the distance between you and them and strive to surround you. They seek to use the same tactics of the adolescent stage, the Pouncers. They can leap over great distances with their wings to stun you where they like to attack from behind.

Thanks to Your Training and Equipment, You Can Do Anything

Compared to other Terminids, these are a little tricky. These warriors appear in Medium-difficulty areas and higher. These Helldiver Hoppers can be seen in the distance bouncing around, as they are very agile, making them very difficult to take out. Your Democracy suggests that you be patient and eliminate them once they try to attack you using their leaping attack on you. Be aware that they have adapted to recognize a weapon’s laser sight and dodge the beam. Keep a steady hand and make your shots count.

Have faith in your training, as it will come back to you. Make them a priority, and don’t let them gather in large groups. They are capable of greater mobility and damage than their Warrior and Scavenger cousins. So running isn’t dives, but kitting for elimination is recommended. These overgrown flies will most likely lunge attack to get close enough and use their tongues to debilitate you temporarily to feed. In groups, they are only invigorated to do this, so don’t let them bunch up.

Make Those Terminids Pay

InsaneHunters

When you drop into an infested area where Hunters are, it is recommended that you pack your Democracy-provided Muscle Enhancement booster, which will reduce their stunning effects if they get close enough to you. If you find yourself around Hunters, be aware they come from behind or from your blind spots on the sides. So stay next to your fellow players, mirror the faith Super Earth has in you, and reciprocate it to your team.

We do not doubt that you can quickly dispatch them with what we have benevolently given you to fight with, but if you must, a melee attack will stun them, giving you a chance to make a little space between you. Don’t let them get the feeling that you don’t belong wherever you drop. Just stay one step ahead of them, and we promise you will return to us right where you came from. The civilized Universe depends on you, and we know you can do it.
