Once again, A Link to the Past has a claim to being the best 2D top-down TLOZ game, which is a good reason to play it. However, it could be the most important one to revisit. Based on the trailer and the marketing for the new game, Echoes of Wisdom seems to be a similar version of Hyrule to the one in A Link to the Past. The storyline is not totally clear right now, but it may be a good idea to refresh oneself on what happened in A Link to the Past so that nothing is confusing like the timeline has been.

No excuses are needed to play old The Legend of Zelda games, but Echoes of Wisdom‘s release is one. These three games will be a fun revisit, but they will also undoubtedly improve the experience on September 27 when the newest game in this long-running franchise is out.
