Pretty much every single Black Ops zombies map has a special Wonder Weapon. Many have their own buildable ones, like the Jet Gun in Liberty Falls, the Staff of Wind in Origins, or the Apothicon Servant from Shadows of Evil. Other special weapons can be obtained through the box on their maps, like the Paralyzer in Buried or Winter’s Howl in “Five”. While all Black Ops 6 maps have had their own buildable guns, a new leak suggests a different Wonder Weapon might land in the Mystery Box alone.
Ray Gun Mark II Set to Return as New Black Ops 6 Wonder Weapon
Leaks have suggested that the new map for the third round of DLC on Black Ops 6 zombies is going to be the Wunderwaffe DG-2, the second-ever Wonder Weapon. The first was the Ray Gun which has been present in all maps through the Mystery Box. It first arrived in Shi No Numa and Der Reise in World at War, and it was last seen in remakes of Der Reise on Black Ops III (a remaster/remake of Der Reise) and Vanguard. It’s still very possible to come to the game on the next map.
However, a new rumor has arisen that the coveted Ray Gun Mark II is coming. This version of the fan-favorite turned it into a burst and made it that much more powerful. It was first seen in Buried but then retroactively added to all Black Ops II maps. It resurfaced on the Alpha Omega map of Black Ops 4. This version of the gun had four different variations that you could get. One had explosive rounds, another had powerful projectiles, a third had laser rounds that passed through multiple enemies, and the last one had an electric beam.
New Wonder Weapon Could Have Three Versions
Much like there were four versions of the Ray Gun Mark II in Alpha Omega, the upcoming DLC3 map for Black Ops 6, which is poised to be the Liberty Falls mansion, could have three versions of the gun. The four variants from Alpha Omega had Z, X, Y, and V attached to their names. In Black Ops 6, the code has P, R, and W attached to “RAY_GUN_MK_” in the game files.
This information comes from MrDalekJD on TikTok, a renowned CoD content creator who often finds and shares prominent leaks. He speculated that this could mean that the Ray Gun Mark II could be retroactively added to Liberty Falls, Terminus, Citadelle Des Morts, and The Tomb much like what transpired in Black Ops II. Please keep in mind that this is a leak, and we won’t know for sure what the Wonder Weapon(s) will be in the new map (or what the new map is) until much closer to the Season 3 update. Leaks are often correct, but they’re not always right, so take this information with a grain of salt.
