That’s right Xbox Showcase, gamers and aspiring couch potatoes whose fingers are aching for controllers. The Xbox Games Showcase is almost here, and Call of Duty®: Black Ops 6 Direct will follow it. This is our chance to look at the new games coming to Xbox from Game Studios around the globe. Last year, we enjoyed the information and trailers for Forza Motorsport, Towerborne, Hellblade II: Senua’s Saga, and Elder Scrolls Online. In three days, we will see what is being called the most critical showcase in Xbox’s history on June 9th, starting at 10 am PT / 1 pm ET. Here’s why.
The recent Xbox acquisition of Activision Blizzard has definitely taken Xbox to a new level in the gaming industry. For every Gamer who answered the call to race, build, or eliminate evil, Xbox now has more to offer.
They now have astonishing ownership of gaming properties on Call of Duty, Warcraft, Halo, Fallout, Minecraft, The Elder Scrolls, Diablo, Doom, Gears of War, Forza, Overwatch, Hearthstone, and so much more.
This puts a lot of pressure on the Xbox Showcase, as everyone is expecting them to deliver. It’s the time of year when most players are hungry for what is next on the gaming table, and Xbox looks like the only thing on the menu.
Xbox Showcase is almost here
PlayStation has stated that this year, it will not be showing any major content or exclusive title releases. This low-key, under-the-radar marketing strategy might pay off for them, as Nintendo has also announced that its own showcase will be held later this month.
The Xbox Showcase is where all eyes and attention will be, and they will be too big to fail. After the Showcase, we have the promise of Call of Duty Black Ops 6 to be served as dessert.
The rest of the titles we can hope to see are only rumors. With the change of ownership, Activision Blizzard titles now have the Xbox resources for expansion. That means more resources building up World of Warcraft and Diablo 4.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
We could also enjoy the expansion and more content in Bethesda’s Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Starfield as well as Doom. There are rumors of seeing something in this year’s Gears of War and Microsoft Flight Simulator.
These three powerhouse students will bring a lot to the table, but we should also enjoy a few side dishes that can always be found with Xbox. Titles like Sea of Thieves, Grounded, or Halo wouldn’t hurt Xbox marketing either.
If your stomach is growling and you are hungry for what gaming Studios have been cooking for us, this is the Showcase to watch this year. So order up game fans, enjoy what they have for us to eat, and bring your appetite for this Sunday.
Here is the link to watch. If you are not there, you can’t call yourself a gamer. I hope to see all of you there, and until then, make sure you’re ready.
