Nintendo has already confirmed that The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom will have Amiibo support. This was unsurprising news, as most Nintendo games support a wide variety of Amiibo. There are very few games that come out these days that don’t, as it’s a pretty stellar business model to release collectibles (which would be successful on their own) that can be used advantageously in video games. And while there haven’t been any new ones just yet, there are 28 that players can use with Echoes of Wisdom beginning one week from today (September 19).
All Compatible Amiibo for Echoes of Wisdom
There are currently seven games that have Zelda-related Amiibo, and those can be used for the new game. Tears of the Kingdom, which was actually the last new Nintendo title to get its own unique collectibles, has three figurines that can be scanned for Echoes of Wisdom: Link, Ganondorf, and Zelda herself. From Breath of the Wild, there are quite a few available options:
- Zelda
- Link (Rider)
- Link (Archer)
- Revali
- Mipha
- Daruk
- Urbosa
- Bokoblin
- Guardian
From the Skyward Sword HD remake in 2021, there are two options: Zelda & Loftwing and Link. Twilight Princess had an HD remake recently, but that was still in 2016. Nevertheless, it has a few Amiibo you can scan in a week and reap the rewards. The Link and Wolf Link (with Midna riding on top) collectibles will work. Wind Waker also had an HD remake, but it’s even older than the Twilight Princess one. Either way, you can use the Zelda (which will be restocked) and Toon Link figures from Wind Waker.
There is a version of Link available in Amiibo form from the original The Legend of Zelda, Majora’s Mask, Ocarina of Time, and Link’s Awakening (also being restocked) that can be used as well. Of course, Link and other characters are heavily featured in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which had a large run of Amiibo. Therefore, the Toon Link, Link, Sheik, Young Link, Ganondorf, and Zelda figurines will also work.
Will Echoes of Wisdom Get Its Own Amiibo Set?
Nintendo has pretty scarcely released new Amiibo lately, going over a year since giving a brand-new title its own set. There is no indication of whether or not this will transition to the Nintendo Switch 2, so the figurines may be dying out. For that reason, it’s hard to imagine The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom getting its own set. They would likely be a hit, especially since it’s been a long time since any new figurines were created, but it may not be worth the trouble for Nintendo.
In Conclusion
There’s just one week left before Echoes of Wisdom releases, and there are 28 Amiibo you can use with it. Unfortunately, most of them are hard to find since they’re old and out of date. Nevertheless, through retailers and secondary sales, they’re all theoretically out there for you to purchase and use to your benefit when the latest Zelda title releases next week.
