Episode Revenant, one of the most anticipated episodes that players want to see in Destiny 2, will be released on October 8, 2024, three days before the launch of the most challenging dungeon in the game, Vesper’s Host. Episode Revenant will come with a lot of new features, weapons, modes, and a whole new story. The only disadvantage is that players cannot wait to get their hands on this new episode.
Episode Revenant Details
Episode Revenant will feature a story centered around Fikrul, known as the Master of Souls, along with others like Scorn, Mithrax, and Eido. There will be a new system introduced in Destiny 2 called Potion Crafting by Episode Revenant, allowing players to craft tonics that will boost rewards and seasonal Artifact perks. There are two different types of the Potion Crafting system introduced by the episode in the game.
One is Volatile Tonics, which you consume to increase battle prowess and boost seasonal artifact perks. Higher rarity tonics of this type offer a higher boost to multiple artifact perks. The other type is Enriching Tonics, which you consume to increase rewards earned by completing activities and defeating combatants. They also help you attune to two specific seasonal weapons that will come with enhanced perks using Reward Flavors.
The beloved Onslaught mode in Episode Revenant will receive a major investment. The mode will now have three new maps, including Widow’s Court, featuring different enemy factions like Scorn and Dark Cabal. The new Onslaught Salvation brings a power-enabled 10-wave mode, the normal 50-wave mode, and the Expert 50-wave mode for hardcore players. Onslaught Salvation in the episode will include two new defenses: Turrets and Air Strike.
Other New Weapons, Perks, and Stuff in Episode Revenant
A new exotic weapon known as the Revenant Season Pass Exotic Weapon: Stasis Primary Ammo Grenade Launcher will be included in Episode Revenant in Destiny 2, using Primary ammo, just like Fighting Lion. Similar to Mountaintop, the weapon’s grenade projectiles travel in a straight line. The exotic perk, Vestigial Alchemy, allows players to collect Remnants that fill a meter. Once the meter reaches 50% on the map, you can generate Special ammo for both yourself and your fireteam. At 100%, a special reload spawns a Heavy ammo brick for everyone.
Bungie has also confirmed the return of Ice Breaker in Episode Revenant. However, during a recent livestream, Chris Proctor, senior design lead at Bungie, states that Ice Breaker would retain its classic Destiny 1 functionality but will receive an exciting twist. Assists and final blows with other weapons will now regenerate ammo for the Ice Breaker Exotic weapon. There will also be a new Artifact for Episode Revenant called the Slayer Baron Apothecary Satchel. This Artifact would focus heavily on enhancing Stasis builds, offering a range of perks to support those playstyles.
And Finally…
While those are the main features coming to the game in Episode Revenant, there are still a few more. The Inverted Spire strike is returning in Episode Revenant with a rework. The Chroma Rush legendary auto rifle is getting reprised, and the Fighting Lion exotic grenade launcher will now make enemies Volatile when it hits them. That’s pretty much it, the necessary things to know about the upcoming Episode Revenant, and yes, it’s enough to keep players fantasizing about them.
