Destiny 2 has released a ton of Exotic weapons since its release in 2017. Some of them have been extremely overpowered while others still need help. One Thousand Voices is a Raid Exotic and is of a kind weapon. It has had its time in the sun before but recently Bungie released an update that allowed all Swords to have unlimited ammo. This update is for a limited time and One Thousand Voices, while not being a Sword also got this update. This has made this Exotic broken in PvE and PvP.
One Thousand Voices Overview
One Thousand Voices is a Fusion Rifle that takes Heavy ammo and has Solar affinity. It is the only Fusion Rifle in the game that belongs to the Heavy slot and as such is capable of doing massive damage. It comes with an ammo reserve of 12 which is admittedly low. This weapon was also buffed a few seasons back where the shots fired apply Scorch and trigger Ignitions. Hence it also synergizes well with the Solar Subclass.
This weapon has the intrinsic Exotic trait called Ahamkara’s Eyes which allows the weapon to fire a beam of solar laser that attaches to enemies and then detonates. It also has an Exotic perk called Unforseen Repercussions. This enables the weapons to heat the targets it hits which eventually causes them to explode dealing area of effect damage.
How to Obtain this Exotic
One Thousand Voices is a Raid Exotic that comes from “The Last Wish” Raid. Raids are a 6-player activity in Destiny 2 that requires communication and teamwork to communicate. Players, however, do not need to complete the entire Raid from start to finish to obtain this Exotic. Defeating the last two encounters of the Raid will give the player a chance to obtain this Fusion Rifle.
The second last encounter of The Last Wish is the Riven encounter. It is a boss fight that can be cheesed in multiple ways and is not difficult at all to pull off. After Riven, has been defeated and her heart destroyed. Each player will be rewarded with an item called Ethereal Keys. After the key has been obtained, players must move to the last encounter of the Raid. The last encounter of the Raid is called Queenswalk and will require players to take the heart of Riven from her corpse to another area in the raid.
This is a communication-heavy encounter in which players will need to call out a timer. Once this encounter is done, the Raid will be finished and players will be in a room full of chests. This is where Ethereal Key comes into play and players can use the key to open a single chest. Each chest has a 10 percent chance to drop One Thousand Voices. Here it depends on RNG and players’ luck but this is the only way to obtain this Exotic.
