Destiny 2: Insurmountable God Roll Guide

Revenant is the second Episode in The Final Shape expansion of Destiny 2 and comes with a brand-new set of weapons. Besides weapons, there are also new Exotics as well as activities to explore. These new seasonal weapons are released with their own Origin Trait and more of these weapons are aimed to release during later Acts of the Episode.

The Origin Trait present on these weapons is called Dark Ether Reaper and it creates Orbs upon getting weapon kills. These Orbs can be interacted with or shot at to refill a portion of the weapon’s magazine, potentially overflowing it.

Insurmountable Overview

Insurmountable is a Precision Frame Sidearm and has Void affinity. It has been a while since we last saw a weapon belonging to this archetype. Thankfully, this weapon comes with amazing perk options. These options make it good in both PvE and PvP, as well as highly synergistic Origin Trait.

This weapon has 14 perk options. In the left column, players have the choice of Attrition Orbs, Demolitionist, Air Trigger, Lone Wolf, Repulsor Brace, To the Pain, and Threat Detector. In the right column, the options available are One for All, Surrounded, Rampage, Closing Time, Harmony, Destabilizing Rounds, and Desperate Measures.

PvE God Roll

For PvE, players want to boost the Reload Speed of the weapon. Players must go with Corkscrew Rifling as the Barrel perk, Flared Magwell as the Magazine perk, and a Reload Speed Masterwork. In the left column, two perks stand out. Demolitionist is a great ability perk that provides Grenade Energy upon getting kills. A single kill provides about 10 percent of Grenade energy.

Repulsor Brace is a Void synergistic perk that provides players with a Void Overshield upon defeating a Void debuffed target. This perk is greatly complimented by Destabilizing Rounds in the right column. This perk spreads Volatile to nearby combatants upon getting kills. Volatile is a Void debuff that directly ties into Repulsor Brace. However, if players are looking for a damage-dealing perk, then One for All is the best perk as it provides a 35 percent damage boost for 10 seconds.

PvP God Roll

Precision Frame Sidearms are strong in The Crucible of Destiny 2 and Insurmountable is no different. Players want to boost the Range as high as possible. This can be done by using Hammer-Forged Rifling, Accurized Rounds, and a Range Masterwork. In the left column, Lone Wolf is the only good perk choice and provides the weapon with extra Range and Aim Assist.

In the right column, there are two perks that players should consider. Closing Time is a dueling perk that provides extra Range, Aim Assist, and target acquisition when the weapon’s magazine gets lower. Desperate Measure is a damage-dealing perk that players should consider if they decide to go that route in The Crucible of Destiny 2. It can be activated after getting a kill and allows for a relaxed time to kill in other duels.
