The second season of League of Legends in 2025 is just around the corner, and Riot has released its Developer Update. Riot Meddler and Pablo are here to deliver all the necessary information to players. Season Two’s theme is going to center around Spirit Blossom. As a result, one of the players’ favorite skin lines returns with plenty of skins to choose from. Those are not the only changes with the incoming new game and gameplay updates included.
League of Legends Season Two Gameplay Update
Right off the rip, Summoner’s Rift is receiving a visual update, moving away from the Noxian theme to the colorful Spirit Blossom Theme. The changes are purely cosmetic, and the terrain will remain the same. Three Objectives are getting changed in Season Two. Atakhan only has one form and provides a new buff, Void Grubs will only spawn once, and Rift Herald receives some changes and will spawn at fifteen minutes.
Riot is taking another swing at fixing Champion Bounties, making them only give gold when a team has a clear advantage while moving Champion takedown gold to scale with levels. Players will have the ability to swap roles with their teammates during Champion Selection. It smooths out the process and allows for a significant change.
Starting with Season Two, Junglers will receive Smite automatically. No other players can take Smite (except Unsealed Spellbook), and Supports get given World Atlas when they spawn into the rift. The Anti-Lane Swap is also getting some changes with the new update. The detection is tied to the World Atlas and not other champions. It should alleviate some of the issues players had with the system. Lastly, we are getting a new death screen so you wallow in your death with less gray, while kill streaks will allow you to feel more rewarded for achieving kills on the rift.
Brawl Game Mode
Brawl is a less complicated version of League of Legends that allows players to fight to the death. Instead of destroying objectives to blow up the Nexus, teams will have a combined health of two hundred and fifty. Takedowns on enemy champions deal five damage to the enemy team. While the enemy team is not at low health, takedowns on enemy minions also deal one damage. Pushing your minions into your enemies’ Bandle portal deals one damage each. Brawl is action-packed until the end and creates fun for players to enjoy with their friends.
Skins Coming in Season Two
The skins released in Season Two are Spirit Blossom-themed, with some exceptions. Pool Party Twitch will be part of the paid battle pass. The skin is the first standalone skin that fits in other skin lines. The Spirit Blossom skins are for Lux (prestige), Irelia, Varus, Ashe, Bard, Ivern, and Zyra. The upcoming Exalted skin is for Morgana, while Zed and Aphelios will get Prestige skins. Zed’s skin will feature in the battle pass, while the mythic shop contains Aphelios’ skin.
