The next season of Marvel Rivals is coming, and here is the latest on it. The greatest heroes of the galaxy are about to have company, and NetEase Games has collaborated with Marvel Games to shake things up in their delivery. Since its release on December 6th, the game’s lineup has had 37 characters from all sorts of different ends of the galaxy in the Marvel Comics. They have a lot of new things cooked up for us that haven’t been done before. We have new characters, abilities, team-ups, maps, and more.
Marvel Rivals Isn’t Like Anything Else
Ultron & Emma Frost Are Coming To Krakoa
The Marvel Rivals development team has been keeping things secret for some time, so you can imagine the excitement of fans when they learned what was coming. Everything will start on April 11th with the Hellfire Gala. We have cashed in a lot of content with every member of the Fantastic Four family who came to save the day from vampires. Marvel Rivals is now taking us to Krakoa with two new heroes.
The commencement of the ever-expanding roster of heroes will very soon have Emma Frost and Ultron added to the mix. Both of them are also bringing with them costumes, new tasks, exciting rewards, and exciting Team-Up opportunities. Emma is the first to join the camaraderie of superheroes and will be coming April 11th with the most advanced artificial intelligence robot with a nasty god complex, bad temper, and definitely holds a grudge. He will be coming sometime in May.
New Abilities
We have been given some information about these two. Emma Frost is going to be Vanguard, and she will be able to use her telepathic abilities to make shields for teammates as well as transform her skin into diamonds. Here is something different that NetEase and Marvel are doing. They are bringing Ultron in May. When he comes, he will be a Strategist. We don’t have much information about him, but in the trailer, giving the information, he is shown as the party crasher with an army to take out everyone there. He adds the warning with the phrase, “The Age of Ultron begins.”
We do have a leak of his abilities that players will be able to unleash in the game. First, we have his Encephalo-Ray, which will release a high-energy beam on his enemies. Next, he can evade his foes with his Dynamic Flight, making him quick and nimble in the air. There is also his ability to use his Rage of Ultron, which unleashes several deadly drones.
He can also use those drones to form a Firewall that shields and heals his friends. His last one is called Patch. When he uses it, a large drone is summoned that heals. If this leak is true, it portrays Ultron as a supportive healer with his extended abilities to have his drones do his dirty work or healing for him.
Other Changes Coming
Here is the switch-up with the timeline that the Marvel Rivals team is doing. Most games offer updates on set dates and bring all the content out at once. The schedule for this content has been coming out every three months, and now, we will be switching to new content every two months with a new hero every month. As to the location of Krakoa, it is described as a refuge for mutants that has been turned into a paradise for the estranged. This new safe haven also comes with new game modes and new ways to team up with current heroes and villains.
There are also going to be other changes coming besides Marvel Rivals heroes and maps. The developers are offering a balance patch that will bring nerfs to some characters and buffs to others. Several heroes getting buffs to the load out are Peni Parker, Scarlet Witch, Mister Fantastic, Black Widow, Rocket Raccoon, our favorite Land Shark Jeff, Captain America, the Winter Soldier, and Moon Knight. For Loki and Adam Warlock lovers, they are getting Nerfs. There are also going to be some alterations to Doctor Strange, which promise to enhance his abilities.
Team-Ups & More Promises to Come
These two new upcoming characters bring new opportunities to play in team-ups. If two players have common team-up abilities, it allows them to enjoy an extra ability. In these new season updates, there will also be new team-ups between Doctor Strange with Scarlet Witch, Captain America and Winter Soldier, Emma Frost, Magneto, and Psylocke. There are also going to be other changes with the team-ups as they are. Several current matchups will be removed.
You take these new characters, abilities, skins, maps, and more, and there isn’t going to be an end to opportunities of being a part of the galaxy’s finest. There seems to be no shortage of opportunities and matchups with friends in doing the impossible and memorable moments. Marvel Rivals is keeping things fresh with new content and charm.
